Banty's Roost
Day started out at 18 degrees (celsius) and ended up around 5 degrees. This was accompanied by a howling wind from the north so all holes into the wind played 1-2 strokes higher and all holes with the wind played much easier. Next to last game of the year. Still lots of players despite the ever changing weather and temperature. Played from the tips. By the last hole I couldn't feel my fingers and just wanted to get finished. Golf season in this part of Canada is not meant for November !

not worth the money needs to have proper staff to keep the place clean
Dumpster Fire
Not enough carts, had to wait an hour past tee time. Cart died on the course which is chewed up and not cared for. Greens are covered in divots and the boxes are uneven and destroyed.
Absolute joke of a course.
The course is in very bad condition. Green's were absolutely chewed up. I don't think anyone has ever fixed a ball mark. Tee boxes were in very bad shape as well. This course has a lot of potential but needs a lot of work.
Disorganized
Super disorganized, no carts, no pull carts, no starter.
Many holes didn't have tee box indicators, most didn't have signs to see the hole distance.
Other than that was fun to play. Speed was decent, although since there was no starter, we waited a while between nines.
Forgotten and Forlorn Fairways
We booked Banty's Roost as it was an unexpectedly beautiful day in November. I would not recommend booking again.
CONs
- Not enough pull carts for those walking
- Not enough pwr carts for those riding
- Pwr cart broke down and needed to be replaced
- Trash everywhere
- High price for quality of course
PROs
- Tee time was available
- Under 60 mins from Toronto
- Interesting course layout
- Was able to squeeze in one last round
Bad course bad service never again
Staff was not friendly at all. Power cart is not available, fairway and green condition is really bad.. I never play here again
Worst value course in the GTA
I think the title says it all. The proshop does not stock any of the common golf brands and the only balls you can buy are recycled. The staff were generally unwelcoming, which made it all the more sour to shell out $55 for a course that is barely worth $15.
Never again on this course
Staff, green, course condition all bad...
There was no carts available and customer service is really bad.. never play again here.
Not worth the green fee
It is fall, but still the cost of 18 was not worth it. The course tee boxes are quite confusing too, we got lost around the 7th red. We didn’t experience cart issues, as we grabbed the last 2, but over heard other golfers inquiring about carts and having issues, as we had read in the reviews. I’m not a complainer at courses, but there’s just lots of better value. Wouldn’t play again unless it was 30$
