High Potential
Fun layout but too pricey, the value just is not there. Greens were not well kept and rolled very slow, the bunkers had weeds growing in them, and the fairways were burned out. It has potential to be a really great loop, nut for 75 dollars I just dont see myself returning. Too many other options for less or same money.
This course is getting better
I saw the reviews and i think some people are very harsh about what they are saying. The course is in better condition than it was at the beginning of the year and they have to understand the staff is all new so it will take them a little bit of time to get things back to the way it was. I think the biggest issue is that they don't have the liquor license but it is still a course that you can golf at and fairly easy to golf as well. The proshop staff is super friendly and helpful. The only other thing would the marshals are terrible. They legit do nothing but talk to each other. Get new ones and the course would be better.
Overbooked
27 hole course with 3 different sets of 9 holes. Walked the course but majority of people had power carts. Pace of play was abysmal. Booked for 11:40 tee time didn't tee off until 11:50. 11:30 group started at 11:40, although they were late to the tee time (arrived 15 mins before) and they arrived at 11:40 (our tee time).
Marshall does not come around to ensure good pace of play. Greens are not maintained well. Was redirected to the white course instead of the blue course for the back 9 (although did not look maintained, sand traps had weeds growing, greens were patchy).
Overall decent course but definitely improvement points.
Slow Pace
Pace of place was an abomination, stopped mid round for a rain check. I’ll give it to someone else to revel in their misery
Not a great time
The course has a decent layout, but the conditions of the course are awful. Greens are slow and had mushrooms growing on them. Tee boxes were absolutely destroyed. Pace of play was terrible. The Marshall's basically sit around drinking coffee and do not push the pace of play. No way this course should take 5 hours to play
This course has potential
I played white-blue today, the white nine had no yardage markers at all, and was poorly kept. The blue nine at least had markers, but still poorly kept. One green had mushrooms growing on it, and they all were like putting on shag carpet. It is on the low end of the middle tier golf courses around, and I think that $55 to walk is a little steep. Worst of all, they jammed anyone who came out onto the same nines, and there were three groups waiting with us on every tee box. Four at one point. Not ideal, especially with all the staff talking about how slow it was today.
Terrible terrible terrible
Do not play here, triple booked tee times, below average golfers plying here, golf balls constantly crossing fairways, can’t use any long hitting clubs because there’s 3 foursomes on every hole.
The course is not maintained, bunkers are just hard sand weed beds.
I will not be playing this course again.
$55 for tee time $27 for a cart. Not even close to worth it.
It was fine
The reviews for this course are tough. To be fair it’s not the best course, but if you’re a great golfer you probably aren’t playing here anyways. Not a lot of organization, but if you ask the staff they’ll help you out. Further, marshals aren’t patrolling and with 3 different 9 the transition is strange and poorly communicated. A lot of beginners on the course and that’s fine. Could be a bit cheaper, but the course needs some maintenance so hopefully the money helps in the long run. This course needs a lot of TLC but if your looking for a last minute round, it is fine.
Good course if you get a deal
The pace was good except it was jammed at the pro shop to start. After hit the first tee, the pace was good. I played blue twice. Second round was fast. Nobody was behind. The blue is short. Only 2400 yard from white tee. I’ll play there again if I get a deal.
Outstanding layout. Unacceptable conditions on greens.
This course has an outstanding layout and some great holes; however, whoever is in charge of this place clearly doesn't care about the course. They must be letting it get run down and burnt out before they sell the land. It's a shame because there is so much potential here. With some TLC to the greens, this course would be a true hidden gem. I have no care if the clubhouse is a hole in the wall but the greens shouldn't be cut the length of a 1970s shag carpet.
Course (blue red) has gotten better since the last time I played it. Greens are really slow but other than that overall pretty good. They cleared the weeds out of the bunkers since the last time I played it and the course seems to be in better condition. This is a good course for someone new to the game of golf. The course is also very busy so expect some waiting on the fairways and tees.
Roost Review
Course didn't honor the price I was given for a cart. It was overbooked, had to wait to get started, and at every hole! Conditions were not at all what I expected. They were dry, and traps were filled with weeds, fairways seemed forgotten, and greens were so so.
Course BLOWS
Played this course for the first time the other day and it’s hard to find anything good to say about it. Girl in the proshop was nice also very good looking. But that was the only thing good looking at the course. The fairways look like rough and the greens were longer than my pubes.
