Course conditions
I have not played this course in 10 years, because of the conditions. There is improvements, however more is needed for the price to play.
First Impressions
This was the first time anyone in our foursome had played this course. We agreed that it was an okay round while commenting that the condition of the greens was particularly good.The course has relatively few bunkers that seemed to rarely come into play. Also, water is not a dominant feature of the course. Instead of small ponds, more common are marshlands lining some fairways.
Course looks amazing with the grass cut
There is often long grass in between holes that:
1. Will eat any ball that dares enter more than half an inch into the grass
2. Is not very nice to look at
The greens crew recently cut this grass and the course feels totally different - it looks amazing and is much less intimidating as a mis-hit doesn't mean a ball is lost. Considering what kind of course this is and the level of golfers there, the cut grass is a major upgrade.
Needs work
Like playing on a desert. Fairways super dry, bunkers rock hard. The greens were inconsistent. Facilities need a major makeover. Golf carts were unbelievably slow. Staff seemed generally friendly and nice.
Decent experience
Nice enough golf course with a nice blend of challenging and easier holes to test and evaluate the game.
The staff were all friendly and so were the other golfers.
My only critic was it was almost 100 degrees and no cart service for 18 holes.
We had 3 Marshal's come by- I'd suggest less Marshals and more cart service folk. The course would make more money and you'd have happier golfers.
Played for the first time . Surrounded by farm land , Great , But couldn’t bear the Stench from near by Dairy Farm through out the course .Went near to the water in one of the holes , seems like the water has cow waste . Other than that no complains , Course Marshall was very polite to ask me leave my cart 30 yards from green .
I would recommend , Yes !
This course has improved in the last few seasons, the conditions and grounds are very good.
Progress
They are making progress, from last year to this year the coarse is getting better
