Sawmill Creek Golf Resort & Spa is southwestern Ontario's premier golfing destination. Located just east of Sarnia and less than an hour from London, the golf course is a conveniently situated getaway that feels much further thanks to an idyllic location along the shores of Lake Huron. The course is a par-71, links-style design that is challenging enough for avid golfers but still playable for beginners. The gently rolling landscape was enhanced even further with the addition of more than a million tons of earth, which was carefully molded to look as though it had always been there. The meticulously crafted mounding adjoins the fairways, providing a continuous flow throughout the golf course. In addition to the mounding, golfers will also face large bunkers, tall fescue, bluegrass rough, and desert-like waste areas. It may appear daunting, but Sawmill Creek is not as tough as it looks.

Sure has gone downhill
This was one of the best courses around two years ago now they have the nerve to charge $40 .The greens are full of winter kill and all the fescue is nothing but weeds.The buildings look like they have been abandoned for years.
Save your money and go somewhere else.
Good Course, but condition of course is poor
Last played Sawmill Creek about 10 years ago. Was in great shape back then. Course layout is still great, but it does appear as though the course is going through some tough times. Condition of course was not bad, but was certainly far from great. Greens were a bit bumpy and the tee off areas had some weeds growing out of them. And the bunkers? They were weed filled with hard pan sand -- have not been raked for years it looks like. It's too bad because the course is a links style course and is a nice lay out.

Played this course several years ago and enjoyed it, today was a total surprise to see how bad this course has been let go.
The tee blocks are overgrown, the fairways are in very bad condition and the greens are absolutely deplorable.
Stay away.
Dilapidated
There are no Covid contraptions on the flag sticks. One flag wouldn't stay in the hole. The bunkers are overgrown and un-kept and at times it was hard to tell where the fairway was.
It was worth a try
Looks like this course can be an excellent course. The layout would make a great challenge. But, they have a lot of work to do. Greens were very bad and the bunkers could not be used.(mud or weeds)
Neglected
Sawmill Creek has abandoned any effort to maintain its course. I cannot believe how neglected the course is. All fairways are brown, and the greens are horrible, dandelions were the only thing on the greens that were green. It's a shame that they let this course go.
Was a good course
Course has gone to seed. Too bad the owner doesn't play golf and understand what he bought. Sad state of repair.
Great course gone bad.
Played course years ago. It was above average.
Sadly it has basically been left to go wild. Greens were long and burned out. Fareways were like concrete. Dried out and mostly uncut. Traps were either overgrown or looked like an escavator has been doing donuts in them. Traps unplayable, greens unputtable.
So sad to see an exceptional course gone to seed from neglect.

Paid 15 dollars for the round wouldn’t pay much more then that.
Waste of money and time, the new owner is not into golf
Sawmill Creek was a well condition golf course until it was sold to Ranjt Singh 2 years ago. This guy is must be money laundering. All his workers, are not employees, they work for golf. He is taking all the cash for himself. No workers Comp. No Canada pension. No employment Insurance. No fed. tax remittance.
The greens are almost dead. The irrigation system is half working. No greens Superintendent. The rough has been cut, however it needs to be maintained, hard find to your ball. The bunkers have weeds growing in them.
Work in progress
Appears course has been idle for some time. Owners trying to reopen the course and make it playable. Grass in fairways is long, greens are overgronw and you cant really putt. Bunkers are u kept and full of weeds. Ball washers all broken or missing, Would not play again until major implrovement made
I’d rather play in my backyard! AWFUL COURSE
This course at one point use to be well maintained and enjoyable to play. NOT ANYMORE!!! The rough is knee high with weeds and the greens are brown and seem like they haven’t been cut in over a year. The tee boxes are full of weeds and rocks and the course it littered with garbage and beer bottles. My tee time was 730 and I walked around waiting for 15 minutes before a volunteer came over and gave me a cart key and a scorecard. Hopefully with new owners and the proper equipment this course can turn it around. Thats high hopes though considering what it’s turned into.
TERRIBLE COURSE
This course was poorly maintained,,long grass ,fairways cut like roughs at real golf courses. The rough had ankle high grass in the second cuts and knee high grass in the rough... The greens needed a croquet mallet to get any type roll...and if there was any green alive it was a hole I could not find.
