great golf courses
I recommend this courses.good condition green and courses.
Good Day after rain passed
Always like this course, and in excellant shape. Does need a Marshall to keep things going , we didn't see one.
Forgiving Fairwys
The course is forgiving if you play it right. Well kept and some wonderful challenging holes.
Course Ranger
Course was challenging, beautiful and well kept.
The staff in the clubhouse were friendly and helpful.
The only issue we had was during the fist 4 holes. The course ranger was rude and followed us around accusing us of stealing someones ball, pulling our cart accross the green amongst other things. It pretty much ruined the first 4 holes for us.
After that the course was enjoyable.
Had fun, but some greens in rough shape
Paired up with 3 great guys. Made the round enjoyable. Some greens show the winter damage and can be problematic to make any kind of consistent putt. Fairways and tee boxes in great shape. Some very challenging holes that require a precise tee shot or proper club selection off tee or you can kiss your ball good buy. There are 27 holes. The North and South 9 are my favs, as they are more difficult, but have played the East 2x this year and it is starting to grow on me.
5.5 Hrs to complete!
I have played this course many times and enjoy the layout and condition but on this day it was brutal. Super slow play. Saw a marshall once and he said under trees watching not even pushing slow play. Example...South 6th hole, group on green, group on fairway and 2 groups at tee box....really??? This is what is killing this game. I understand people play there money to play the game, as I do, but don't make it an all day event!! Also some greens where in terrible shape, i guess from winter damage, which i understand but on some of those bad greens there was good spots and they sticked the flag right in the middle of the bad parts, like on the South 9th. 15ft putt would moved 6 different ways before the hole...impossible to read.
fun course
I played the north and east ...north and south I feel have better greens then the east ..but overall good course ..
Get Marshall's
6.5 hours to golf I am a par golfer the pace of play was unacceptable I was going to become a member but no Marshall's no one keeping up to the pace of play they seemed to just put out as many players as possable with no concern
Overpriced
The greens were in terrible condition. It was nearly impossible to make a putt as the ball had to travel through many dirt patches. I know the winter was tough on a lot of courses but the price should be adjusted accordingly. I looked forward to playing for many years and Iwas extremely dissapointed. I will try it again next season but I was not very happy yesterday
Carlisle GCC- Flamborough, ON
Had a great round playing with some friends. Course was in good shape except for the greens. Many greens had bare patches or very uneven sections. Balls were bouncing across the greens and hard to make a putt. Understand it was a bad winter across the region and many courses are suffering with the same situation.
Terrible greens
Terrible greens on East course made putting ridiculous. Needs drastic measures to fix greens. No indication from starter when commencing play that this was an issue.
Overall - an above average golf course
The fairways, rough, and bunkers were in pretty good shape. Quite good for early June. There were a handful of greens that were hit pretty hard this winter and it showed.
The course can be challenging if you spray the ball but it is friendly for all levels of players.
It's definitely a walkable course and I'd recommend doing so if you're fit enough for it. The cost of a cart rental brings the value for money down quite a bit, despite the deal on Golf Now.
I'll play again
Quirkey
Some strange layouts, greens need a ton of work and most tees are infested with ants. There are many other courses that are far better at this price.
A tale of two nines
The course was in great condition. Marshal was a gentleman and was concerned about our two-ball being held up by the four in front. Rough and trees very forgiving. Played North nine and enjoyed most holes but hole 6 is a par 5 banana! Then played the South nine which started easy and finished with great over the water holes. Food in clubhouse was less than average but they did have a private function on.
in good shape
A few greens got beat up by the winter, but overall course was in good green shape.
good condition of course
there were a good conditions in fairways and greens.
some courses were lots of damages by a bad weather in winter.
Fun course
Usually play here once a year. Course was in good shape not much kill from the bad winter. Pace was good. Some fun holes here. With good rates from Golfnow I'll be back.
