About
Cranberry Golf Course was carved from the picturesque landscape of southern Georgian Bay and has the distinction of being Canada’s first Audubon Society-certified golf course. There is some slight undulation in the bent grass fairways but overall the terrain is flat, making it accessible for beginners since there are no dramatic elevation changes or severely uneven lies. The front nine has numerous water hazards and plays a bit longer than the back nine due to a handful of lengthy par 5s. Cranberry Golf Course's back nine plays shorter and dryer but there are difficult doglegs and several large, strategically placed sand traps. There are also grass bunkers and contouring around the greens for added challenge.

Too many changes
The course was altered to the detriment of the flow. Very slow.
kj
Beautiful day but marshal needed to be more present to move along a number of non-golfers in front of us. Also, the new holes being built to allow for more development takes away from the quality of the course. In particular some very long par 3s slow down the pace.
Friendly staff but oh so slow!!!
It took us 2 hours and 40 minutes to play 9 holes. Crazy! Would not go back.
New Layout
New course layout is strange to say the least. The 3rd hole is ridiculous. So is 5 par 5’s on the front and four par 3’s on the back.
Pace of play was stupid - course was way overbooked.
I’m not one to write reviews, good or bad, but I’ve been playing Cranberry, for years - NEVER again.
Save your time and money, look elsewhere..!
Needs an update
There have been some layout changes since the last time i played, in order to accomodate more housing. Course is ok but nothing special. Batteau Creek is a much better experience for less money.
Updates to Cranberry have ruined this course
I have heard this course has not been getting much care and attention from the owners, and now the course has gone through a redesign of a number of holes and a re-ordering of the other holes.
What was once a design that told a story about golfing on your own where you did not see another hole and rarely a house has now lost its soul to accommodate a plaza and more homes.
In addition, tee boxes filled with weeds, traps with little care and maintenance, and slow pace of play due to confusion on the routing, and the experience isn’t great.
I was looking forward to playing this course after not seeing it for a decade, and can’t think of a reason to return after these changes. Quite disappointing.
course changes
Course was busy but we still finished in around 3.5 hours. I haven't played here for a while. The course in good shape as always. Got a hot deal with the cart. I would be hesitant to pay $100 for this course though. They made some changes so got a little lost on the third hole. Other than that everything was great.
Some holes have been changed and Garmin changes not uploaded hence was not easy to follow.
Great Day
The day was perfect. Course is still being worked on, confused on a few holes.
Would not play again
The course was in bad condition possibly the worst
Greens I have played on this year.
Staff at the course were very rude except the staff member in the starters booth.
Enjoyable
The staff helps make this a must play. We have played a couple rounds this year here and always enjoy our round. Stayed for the music and fish and chip special
Great deal and wonderful day !!
