Cranberry Golf Course
About
Cranberry Golf Course was carved from the picturesque landscape of southern Georgian Bay and has the distinction of being Canada’s first Audubon Society-certified golf course. There is some slight undulation in the bent grass fairways but overall the terrain is flat, making it accessible for beginners since there are no dramatic elevation changes or severely uneven lies. The front nine has numerous water hazards and plays a bit longer than the back nine due to a handful of lengthy par 5s. Cranberry Golf Course's back nine plays shorter and dryer but there are difficult doglegs and several large, strategically placed sand traps. There are also grass bunkers and contouring around the greens for added challenge.

Would not play again
The course was in bad condition possibly the worst
Greens I have played on this year.
Staff at the course were very rude except the staff member in the starters booth.
Enjoyable
The staff helps make this a must play. We have played a couple rounds this year here and always enjoy our round. Stayed for the music and fish and chip special
Great deal and wonderful day !!
Great Day
The course is being reworked which created some confusion but, we had a great day, conditions were good. I am sure it will get better when alll rework is completed.
Tough track but worth the round
Excellent practice facilities great staff and amenities. Course is not easy so unless you are a single digit handicap play from the whites
Great condition other then hole 9 which is now a par 3 instead of par 4
Dumb layout
Dumb layout course under construction in some areas
Interesting
Played here on Saturday, to start off the range was out of balls. The starter was very interesting, he ridiculed us for wanting to walk the course, because he said it was “VERY LONG”. Before we started he was very concerned about our pace-of-play. He also failed to mention the surprise on hole 9, whole 9 was closed and turned into a very short par 3. The entire experience before teeing off was unprofessional. As someone who works in the golf industry I don’t see how the course gets away with certain things.
As per the course, it was not bad. Greens were moving well, tee boxes were average, and bunkers were very nice.
Overall our golf experience here was unfortunately a little sour in terms of customer service but we had a great time with the other players on the course!
Fun day
So glad to have come back and played here again. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Course in great spring conditions. We enjoyed the day and will return again
Fun in the Blue Mountains! Very Friendly People
I was travelling alone and used my GolfNow app to book a teatime and go golfing on this lovely course.
Great opening round
Was very impressed by the condition of the course just opening. Compared to some it wintered well. Will definitely return
Staff super helpful and friendly
Under duress
While I have only played the course twice (( I belong to another club without a driving range), I have been a range member for 2seasons.
What has been by far the most impressive aspect of my Cranberry experience is their staff including ground crew. Asking for help and getting it is not, in most cases, unusual. What is unusual are staff members who consistently monitor their customers for what they might need or how they might be helpful. For example the walk to the driving range is longer than usual. On more than one occasion by more than one staff member, upon seeing me pushing a cart and balancing 2 large bucket of balls, will stop and offer me a ride on their way to wherever. AND.It was clear to me they enjoyed these random acts of kindness and I felt I was being “seen” as a n individual.
The course itself was under duress: an uncommon amount of rain over the past 15 days had area courses close intermittently (the only other option was to issue snorkels and flippers). Also, several holes were truncated because of ongoing construction which interrupted the flow of the game. In terms of scenery, I liked the fact that for the most part, the large developmental projects that encircle the course are rarely seen from T boxes; nor are other holes which provides for an almost pastoral sense of tranquility.
As an avid golfer it became apparent to me that Cranberry closed less frequently and for shorter periods; partly I believe because of their aggressive strategy utilizing pumps to deal with water build up.(which meant I had to spend less time cleaning out the garage).
