About
Cranberry Golf Course was carved from the picturesque landscape of southern Georgian Bay and has the distinction of being Canada’s first Audubon Society-certified golf course. There is some slight undulation in the bent grass fairways but overall the terrain is flat, making it accessible for beginners since there are no dramatic elevation changes or severely uneven lies. The front nine has numerous water hazards and plays a bit longer than the back nine due to a handful of lengthy par 5s. Cranberry Golf Course's back nine plays shorter and dryer but there are difficult doglegs and several large, strategically placed sand traps. There are also grass bunkers and contouring around the greens for added challenge.

Value for Money
For $90 , i expected a better conditioned course. The course didn’t warrant the price. $65 would have been more appropriate.
Not worthy of the general review
The pace is so poor. Although it was on a Saturday, pace of play was so bad. The groups in front moved so slowly. We spent 5.5 hours to finish to game.
Nice layout.
Course is setup for any level of golfer if playing the right tees. It had rained the night before so there was plenty of standing water and soft spots even in the bunkers. The carts were only cart path. Not sure if the cart path only rule was what slowed played but after the 2nd hole we waited (our foursome) on every shot for the remainder of the round. The round took 5 hours and normally it is between 3.5-4 hours. The greens were smooth, true and receptive of inbound shots but just a little slow, perhaps due to the rain. Bunkers were wet with packed sand.
Slow play
5 and a half hour round is unacceptable even for a weekend. Played Saturday afternoon and the rangers were more interested in telling people to stay on the path than moving golfer's along.
I then played Sunday morning early and finished in 3.5 hours because it was a 8:50am tee time.
For $117.00 not worth it.
Good to be out but not worth what there charging
Beautiful day and the course layout was nice with long and short holes with degrees of dog legs and hole hazards.The course was extremely dry and with the price point it didnt have that wow factor
Poor show
Lots of standing water, squelchy underfoot.
There was a tournament ahead of us with eightsomes, making pace diabolical.
Course staff brusque at first, no sympathy for conditions or slow play.
