Flamborough Hills Golf and Country Club - Lakes/Hills
About
Tucked away in quiet Copetown, Flamborough Hills Golf & Country Club offers 27 holes of championship golf. The club features three unique nines that are played in three different 18-hole combinations, each of which offer plenty of variety from one another. Originally opened in 1961 under the name Windsor Park, the Hills and the Woods golf courses formed the original 18-hole course at Flamborough Hills Golf & Country Club. The Lakes nine was added in 1994. When combined with the Hills nine, the two provide a challenging round with plenty of water and elevation changes. The landscape is covered with mature trees and abundant in native wildlife, giving golfers a scenic complement to their game.

What a change for the better!
I haven't played at this course for a few years and the have made quite a few changes. Moved some holes, added drainage ane did a great upgrade to the club house. The back deck is fantastic! Conditions were great and staff was friendly and courteous! What a change. Congratulations!
A perfect day - but not the score
Arrived early morning and got off earlier than our scheduled tee time... perfect. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in excellent shape. Pin placements were favourable most of the time. On the Hills course, sometimes difficult to see the pin on the approach shot, but carts were advantageous. The Lakes on the 2nd nine was clear sailing. The whole round with 3 players was 3 hr. and 15 mins.... now that's ready golf.... honours are boasting rights! Will definitely return.
Play Smart
My friend & I played this course for the first time, but we were by ourselves so didn't have the luxury of someone else's course knowledge. We played the Lakes 9 first then the Hills 9. The Lakes 9 is much more forgiving & makes you think your playing ok, and then you hit the Hills & realize maybe not. We were puzzled how, with so much rain recently, the greens could be so hard. On most of them I would recommend landing the ball short of the green & rolling it on. Some of the greens were very small. I left frustrated, but I want to go back.
Always enjoy playing Flamboro Hills
Tee boxes are a little rough but it was a rough winter and the season has just begun. Always enjoy playing
this course. Played 27 holes in 5 hours.
nice course
It Got a bit messy due to 2 hr frost delay and with tournament going on also with delay
they have the pin placement like "sudden death" that even professionals would have a hard time , that also translated in more time spent on green for all golfers, but we managed to play 18 holes being somewhat frustrated having wait on every hole on front 9, having said that the course was in good shape
A pleasant surprise from what I expected!
I haven't played this course is a few years so was pleasantly
surprised by the wonderful ambiance, clubhouse and course conditions. It has taken on a whole new look and for the better.
Staff were super friendly and helpful, the greens ran true and signs on the course made it easy to get to the next hole. This is now a class operation. I do however question some longish par fours for the ladies unless the card is incorrect. Anything over
385 yards is a par five for a lady in my book!
The pro shop is nicely stocked and the restaurant has a great menu. I will definitely go back and play it on a warmer, less windy day. The price is right to become a member too!
Overall a decent course. Little Pricey
Course has lots of terrain so cart it unless you got stamina to walk it. The price is too high for this type of course in this area. Greens in good shape, fairways are ok but some were a little patchy. The ups and down make the course play long even from whites. Nice club house. One problem that I wasn’t to happy about was we had a 8am tee time, wide open in front of us and behind. WE finish nine holes and the starter tells us we have to pick it up....huh?? So were on 16 and he comes around saying we have to quit and we can play the 9 holes on Lakes course because they had shotgun tourney starting at 12. Not my problem, so we had no choice but to play last 2 holes on Lakes and they gave us 9 holes rain check for the inconvenience. Confused staff....but friendly
Challenging pin placements
Course in really nice shape, challenging greens for sure, not a flat one out there, tough pin placements. Friendly staff, nice clubhouse.
Great Makeover
the course has been redone to my understanding and it was is very good shape. The rough will make you pay for not being on the fairway, and the greens are very nice, good speed and good holding on approach shots. The staff in the pro shop could use a refresher on customer service as well as the starter.
Overall very good playable course.
Average course with ignerent staff
The experience I had would have been much more enjoyable if the staff would have treated my group with more respect. It all started with the pro shop telling the group when you where heading to the range to behave, I dismissed it but the others felt insulted. What rubbed me the wrong way was when we stopped to use the restroom the marshal told use to hurry up, meanwhile there was a older couple (65-70yrs) just the two of them that we (a threesome) where keeping pace with. The course staff made it feel like we were not welcome there because we are younger (28-32). Now as far as the facility goes club house is pretty fancy, the course is in good shape and vary playable for all golfer's, but the driving range for some resin was not cut like a tee block, it was like hitting out of the rough. So for the review goes if your not 50 and over and you like feeling like your not welcome at a place then go ahead and play there but as for me I will not be returning.
nice course
The layout of the course is quote nice although their are balls coming from everywhere at times.
Greens need attention
Staff quite friendly
very nice clubhouse
The course was in great shape.
Our foursome hadn't played this course in 10 years. It was like being in the Muskoka's. We played the Hills and the Lakes. Both wide open and challenging. The course was in great shape and was really a beautiful sight. The clubhouse was recently renovated and was amazing. We ordered drinks and appetizers and both were excellent. We would recommend to this anyone. We are looking forward to playing here again.
Great variety
Great course for the money!
little far for Mississauga - nice if it was closer
Excellent Course, very satisfies, especially at these rates!
Flamborough Hills is a beautifully maintained and manicured golf course, with 3 sets of 9 Holes which play very differently and offers players all the challenge! Very satisfied with this course and with Golf Now. Thanks.
Interesting Layout and good conditioning
Played the Lakes and Wood courses and both were in good shape with interesting layouts. Played on a Sunday afternoon and pace of play was a bit slow due to lots of Nine and Dine players on the course.
Despite pace of play that was slower than I like it was an enjoyable round of Golf and I would play the course again.
Great course to play.
My son and I played this course Friday August 02, 2013. This course has made several changes to the three nines and the changes have greatly enhanced the features of this course. The price is fair when compared with other courses in the area, but still feel we in southern Ontario pay green fees that are way too much compared with courses just across the US border.
The condition of this course was pristine, although at the time we played was very wet due to the heavy dew. The greens were a bit slow, but again feel it was due to the dampness. Also not many flat greens which made putting interesting.
I would recommend this course to anyone. We played the Woods to Lakes.
Looking forward to coming back.
A great surprise!
Wow! I was really surprised how well the course conditions were, the speed of the greens were good and it's a tough course to score well. Your short game needs to be on!
We had a great time and will be returning very soon!
Well maintained, playable course
Course is well maintained.
New ownership has sent a lot of money upgrading facilities, as well as the course. Most changes are welcome.
I only wish they left old ar 5 ninth hole Lakes alone (though I understand why they did it).
Overall, a nice, playable, well maintained course with nice facilities.
