Golfer Reviews
course conditions
The reason Igave it 4 stars the course was in great shape except for the greens, the course has been closed for 2 months and they decide to punch the greens before they open.
Pace of play was ok greens were very bumpy
Teed off at 4:20 today. Finished by 8:40. Pace and play was good. The greens were very bumpy due to aeration, and generally slow. Given covid, there are no off-course amenities to review. We had the after 4 p.m. rate. But would not want to pay any more than this for the course at this time.
For this rate, there are usually better options in the GTA
Not a great experience
All greens had holes for aeration...not sure what they did during lockdown. Many tee decks were full of dry grass. Didn’t see cart girl once and there were also no garbages on course.
Early in the round we encountered a very rude player who berated us from across a pond (using extremely fowl language) for parking our carts on the rough instead of cart path. At first I dismissed this, but later I discovered that he was playing with the superintendent while yelling at our group. I find it extremely unprofessional that the SUPERINTENDENT is ok with this kind of behaviour. I will never be playing this course again, $82 a round playing 4:50 on a Wednesday for conditions like that and facing the disrespect our group did is not worth it.
Anyone considering this course I suggest visiting glen eagle instead for superb conditions and phenomenal service at a much better price
Royal Woodbine
Paid 132.00 the greens were aerated dandelions on tee boxes for that kind of money would expect pristine conditions especially after lockdown.Never play there again called pro shop attitude was oh well at least yku got to play
Was surprised not advised one hole was shortened used Red tee box for Tee off
Very surprised that all the greens had been irrigated from last year made putting bumpy with all the indentations and very slow
They should tell people the greens are airraited
Charged full pop 125! Each. No effort to inform that they have done nothing to the course. The traps were clay and greens were terrible. I understand they just reopened but, they should let people know the conditions beforehand. Positive note. I talked to pro shop and they did give me 20 per person rebate.
Fun, challenging course.
Great service and 18th hole is one of the best anywhere. Very enjoyable round. A par 5 was converted to a par 4 hopefully temporarily as the original double dog leg design is terrific.
Horrible condition of course
The course was in the worse condition i have seen. The greens were cut but just air raided???The tee box's were horrible. When i had to pay $140 to play this course, and offered a $20 discount on my next round..i will never use it as i will never play this course again or recommend it to anyone!..
