Royal Woodbine
Good course but doesn't drain well so it was cartpath only. Enjoyed the day.
Great Conditions
Royal Woodbine is a great course with a nice variety of holes. Course is a little on the short side, so you won't be pulling driver out on many holes. Premium is on shot making and ball placement both off the tee and approaches to the green. Don't go flag hunting! play the slopes on the greens and you will be rewarded. Course was in fantastic shape. Green but running fairways, lush rough and firm and fast greens. Always a pleasure to play this course, but if you're not on your game, bring a few extra balls!
Beautiful Conditions & Good Layout; Horrible Pace
As the title reads, the course is in wonderful condition, better than some private courses I've played this summer, and the layout is enjoyable. You can tell it's got a strong history to it and was well thought out during its initial design phase way back when. The pace of play however was horrible. Highly amateur groups ahead of us, some walking, causing our round to take 5+ hours. No problem if you're going to play badly, but at least pick up your ball at times and play fast. The marshall was nowhere to be seen, didn't step in once.
Pace of play was very slow. One player from 4some in front decided to play by himself caused problem. No marshals around to correct
Slow and super loud
Planes flying by every minute. It was super slowly also. No marshal to be found.
Great afternoon
Wonderful day to go golfing with a friend for her birthday.. good attempt at dividing the the carts so 2 people can take even though trying to social distance. Service was under the bridal expo so no water or Gatorade available on the way back and then patio closed when we got in a 6pm. Such a loss!! In service and customer referrals.
Where are the Marshals
Played the back tees. First few hole were good but we slowed right down to a crawl. Marshal was seen talking to the beverage girl and later looking for golf balls. Never was he doing his job to find which group was slow. Will NOT be back.
To top it off it was $10 for a can of beer and then a tip on top of it.
