Terrible/rude marshal staff
I wanted to like this place so much, but the behavior of the Marshals were terrible. Long story short, we booked a tee time for two (with cart) for an early morning tee time. Upon arrival, we were paired with walkers. These were the only walkers for the morning and were placed in front of several small groups with carts. We made the best of it and waited for the walkers on the first nine.
About the 7th hole, the marshal told us (specifically is players in the cart) to pick up rate of play. We explained that we were paired with walkers and they were causing the “delay”. The marshal never approached the walkers. All groups behind us had carts and were 2-3 players. The marshals then followed us to the 8th-10th holes and watched us play. On the 10th hole the marshals approached us in the cart again and told us to play from the red tees due to rate of play. They also made a comment about it being a “rough” game. We completed the front 9 in 2 hours and 11 minutes, even while waiting for walkers, slightly above average for rate of play. We left after the 10th due to the continued harassment by both marshals.
I would not return again due to this behavior, but I will say that the clubhouse staff were apologetic and receptive to our concerns, especially Roy.
The rough was too long the greens were slow and when I arrived I had to use the washroom the handicap washroom ,the toilet seat was falling off hanging by a thread why.
Nice peaceful round!
Now that there isn’t much air traffic, you can actually hear yourself speak on this course. Great location for those in the west end. Staff is very friendly and doing a great job during these pandemic times. Well worth the fee.
Good course
Course is in pretty good shape all things considered. Pace of play was good. Staff clearly taking COVID precautions including throughly disinfecting each cart after each round.
Ok
Ok round greens were slow . Staff said only cut greens once due to covid. No chairs to eat at and have a hamburger. Food was good staff were nice
Great course, staff was wonderful. I would wonder about playing here when things get back to normal since it is very close to the airport and there could be many many planes overhead Yesterday, some but it wan not annoying
Perfect day. Course waa in great shape. Everybody stayed a safe distance. Too bad it was limited refreshments and no food, but, a great day out nonetheless..
In the heart of the city
The main reason I play this course often is because of the central location. There are not too many course options within the city of Toronto. The course is very tight, so if you struggle off the tee, plan on losing lots of balls. However, there are some beautiful holes on this course. Pace of play can be slow if the groups ahead of you can't get off of the blocks, or if they aren't familiar with the course. I've come to really enjoy playing it once you get to know the nuances.
Great course, excellent location
This is a great course to play in a very convenient location. With easy access just off the highway, close to the airport and nearby hotels, it's a great way to spend your layover, unwind after a hectic day at work, or meet up with friends. The grounds are well kept, and the course is tight which makes it challenging. There are a lot of water hazards, so if you're a hack golfer like me bring a few extra balls. The staff are always pleasant. Food in the clubhouse is good, and there's a decent patio to enjoy a cold round after a game.
A Gem Near the Airport
A really good course for players of all skill levels. Uses all the clubs in your bag.
And if you get bored, you can always watch the planes landing.
If you like long boring rounds...
Waiting minutes on every shot. If you like that then this is the course for you!!
