Course in great shape - club down!
Beautiful weather and course was in great shape. Followed a tournament and didn't get held up until the 18th tee - no complaints.
Target golf at its finest. Definitely club down!! An iron off the tee is sufficient on nearly all the holes. Greens were slower compared to the practice green.
Staff was friendly. Great day of golf overall.
Great price and a hot deal
I picked up this game from golf now.com and how can you beat $29 for an $85 golf course.
Fun afternoon
Course is always in great shape and is tough but fair.
Perfect Sunday
We booked as a twosome and they paired us with a third which was fine. Beautiful weather, the course has wintered quite well and the player assistants (marshalls) are friendly, helpful and keep things moving well. Water everywear so their tips are appreciated. Yes there is airplane traffic but only really on the first few holes so not a big deal. The washrooms on course need attention - disgusting outhouses and not clean. That's the only negative. We'll definitely be back to play here again!
Terrible marshalling
Walked off the course took 3 hours and 20 minutes to play 11 holes. Marshall didn't care. Otherwise in great shape nice track, not long but tricky.
RECAP
course and greens are in great shape considering the harsh winter we have had here in Ontario.
cart path challenges
We loved the friendliness from the staff and the course is very well kept and challenging but we could not understand why we couldn't have at least been allowed to use the 90 degree cart path rule. The course has been designed with cart paths along the left hand side of the course (pretty average) and there were many times where we had to take our whole bag of clubs way over to where we had hit our ball because the ball wasn't even visible to where we were sitting in the cart. . It was extremely frustrating...the course wasn't wet so I don't understand why the rule was in place that day.
Would like to play again
I enjoyed this couse. Course is narrow in some places so ball placement is important. I liked the meandering creek through the course. The back nine with all the water was challenging.
Only complaint was the ball washers and hole signs were not in a convenient location, prefer to have them where you would park the cart to tee off, they were much to early before reaching the Tees.
This course has great features and also lots of water.
The course is close to the airport. I personally like to see the plane flew above my head.
Not bad, but quite pricey
If it was $20 per person cheaper, I'd rate it it a 5 star. It's not a bad course, with some challenging holes, and some unique scenery, especially in the area it's in. But for $84 (with cart) I could have played Lionhead, which is a far nicer course.
Not bad for an inner city course...
Well maintained course, greens were really nice ... Pace of play was rather slow but somewhat expected for a Saturday morning tee time, which was OK given it seems Toronto folk don't look for lost balls - during our waits our 4some probably collected a solid 3 dozen high end golf balls from the creek that runs throughout the course. Tight fairways and lots of doglegs -- MAKE NOTE: THE YARDAGE BOOK THEY PROVIDE YOU WITH IS VERY INACCURATE... Yardages were off grossly (we used GPS).
Overall, not a bad course, interesting layout, nice greens.
'City Course' with a challenge.
This is a course that's still within the city, and while it's full length, it's doesn't have a chipping green or warm up range. A few holes have jumbo jets landing over you ever 45 seconds, and a fee holes have major roads and highways beside them. The course was in decent shape, and only had a few 'boring' holes; but at full price of $95, it's considerably overpriced. The greens were quick and in good shape, but there are many parts of the course that are tired or need extra landscaping. The staff were friendly, but the service still leaves something to be desired.
The course was challenging.
The course is tight with a lot of water and rough. You have to hit your targets or you will lose a lot of balls.
The Pro Shop was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the grounds crew didn't care about the golfers. They continued to cut the grass while you were hitting and left their equipment on the cart paths.
Manny of the holes were under repair due to storm damage
Overall the course was challenging, the planes overhead were a bit distracting and there was quite a bit of damage to the course from the storm last week, a few of the holes had temporary greens and modified tee boxes.
Good but difficult course
Some of the greens had been sanded and this made putting difficult, otherwise great conditions
Fantastic pace, great staff
3:50 round on a 1:50 tee time. Best pace on a late Saturday round yet this year. Fairways and green were mint, in spite of Fridays rain, was scatter. Bunkers were packed down, but the staff was great and had an enjoyable afternoon.
Greens were superb!
Course was in great shape after the rain. The and staff was very accommodating.
too long to play
I was meeting a client here for breakfast at 10:30..The kitchen was not open. we had to leave and go elsewhere. Not very impressive. Just like the 5 hr to play was not impressive.
Course is challenging
Club selection is key on this course. The green is hidden so need to strategize well.
My understanding when I booked our T time was that electric cart was the only option, otherwise we would have loved to walk with pull carts.
The fee you paid is for either an electric cart or pull cart. So on a day where "cart path only" a pull cart is a better choice. It will end up to be less walking and you will have your clubs with you and don't have to guess what clubs to bring to your ball.
