Royal Woodbine Golf Club
About
No challenge was overlooked in this brilliant Michael Hurdzan design. The 76 bunkers and water on every hole will keep your full attention on the game. The rewards are great and Royal Woodbine's beautifully conditioned fairways and greens make this championship course a real pleasure to play. Just minutes from downtown Toronto on the Mimico Creek Valley, this is one of the area's treasures.

Bring extra balls
Great challenging course with lots of twists and turns. Be sure you use the course map to strategize your play. The course is a great test of your game. Plus the added bonus of plane spotting every two minutes adds fun to the round.
Relax and enjoy.
If you like 6 hour rounds play here!
The pace was brutal--worst I have ever seen. And it was not just the typical three practice swings then stand over the ball for 30 seconds then hit it 50 yards player--it was the way the course booked for the day.
It was awful--I was praying for rain.
I will not play there again.
Loud with surprisingly abundant wildlife.
Landing jets passing overhead creates quite a din on opening and closing holes. There must be a furniture company adjacent to the 9th green, detectable from the strong smell of glue there. If you can get beyond these drawbacks this is a very nice course. A NW Wind makes it play much longer. Play can be very slow if you get behind a tournament (of which there are many) despite ample marshall staff. Greens reasonably fast and well groomed, as are bunkers and fairways. Course has been very creative in managing a large population of waterfowl. Rabbits abound and coyotes are quite bold. Water hazards in play on 13 of 18 wholes.
Past it's prime
Paying the golf now discounted rate makes this course a bargain. I wouldn't pay full price to play a short course like this. Coffee in the clubhouse is out of a kuirig machine and the only breakfast is Sara Lea muffins in the mini fridge.
That being said, the course was in nice shape and a great deal for $59
too close to airport
the planes fly right over head on a constant basis. far too close to the ground. the noise factor really spoils everything. I play to relax and the sounds of the jumbo jets ruin the experience. better going somewhere else for the price
Good Course but a Little Overpriced
Course is in very good shape. Pace of play was a little slow and the course is a little overpriced but that may be the price you pay to play this close to the city.
Woodbine
The rough needs cutting. Too many Marshalls that don't do anything
Great value.
I always enjoy playing this course and even more so at these rates. Its challenging and the 3 tee's give you good range of yardage.
Always Nice To Play Here
Positives: Nice tough greens, fairways nicely maintained.
Negatives: Poor sand and they try to pack it in, so pace is long
Great day at Royal Woodbine Golf course
This was my first time this year playing at Royal Woodbine, I played there at least twice each year. The course itself is in pretty good shape and fairways are nice. Greens are better than normal so overall it's a good day there.
Great course for the money!
Very good conditions, greens were in great shape and had a true roll to them. Booked on GolfNow for $69.00 cart in. A great rate for a very good course that is nearby in proximity.
return to Royal Woodbine
Hadn't been there for a few years. It was in excellent shape and I was reminded how much I liked it.
A great golf course for good players, but lots of trouble lurking!
nice city track
Not very long but challenging course that was in excellent condition . The only issue was halfway house was closed so no food options available until the end of the round.
Loud
As it's by the airport there are planes constantly flying overhead and therefore very loud.
Not many holes you can use a driver on and many blind landings when you can use a driver.
Not bad for the price I paid but there are other courses at the same price point I would much rather play.
Nice course but a bit expensive
Played this course on a beautiful day although it was a bit hot out. We got paired with another two-some who were absolutely set on finishing as fast as possible (they said when they last played here they finished 18 in 2 hours and 15 minutes). They were trying to rush my friend and I all day (despite us not being slow players, and we had to wait on every tee for the group in front of us). They didn't take a single practice swing, didn't pull the pin out when putting, and if they missed a green they would just drop a ball on and putt with one hand (and pick up anything inside 10 ft and seemed annoyed when we'd putt out).
The round took over 5 hours because of the group in front of us who allowed a senior to walk (while the rest of the group took carts). It was clear ahead of them but they didn't let us pass nor did any marshals ever come around to speed them up.
Course was maintained pretty well. Great location tucked away by the airport. Some holes the airplanes were taking off/leading right overhead. Value for money isn't the great; pretty pricey even with golfnow price.
Staff was friendly; nice club house. Food in the bar/restaurant was average but fairly priced.
6.5 hours of Golf - not what I expected
Let me begin by saying that this should be a $100 course. I played on Sunday June 22 at 1:42 and was done at 6:45. Unbelievably long and there was no tournament. The group in front of us went ahead of the group in front of them. Way to slow. Always the planes are extremely annoying and close - every 3 minutes a jumbo jet is flying on top of you on the 14- 17 hole. 16 -17 are the worst. On the front side its 2-3. This course should be no more then $65 dollars taxes in. Its a challenging course but I will not be returning unless it for a free round to make up for the 6.5hr torture I had to go through and I'm a 11 handicap. I can still here those planes now.
great course except for the geese
This is such a nice course in TO. I would rank this course higher, but a couple holes I had to dodge geese excrement - even worse when it is on the green. I love seeing the fox that lives around.
Overall, the course is a good challenge with the beauty of all the water and streams. I enjoy watching the planes fly in, too.
A great local course
This course is in great shape and seems to have survived the difficult winter in really good shape and when the wind or the airplane jet engine exhaust is blowing, it is tough and a true test of golf!
Great Day on the Course
Just like to say that it was a great day of golf played well!!! It was a great track very demanding customer services was excellent. Booking with Golfnow was a very easy process and would do it again.
Thanks,
