great over all course
course was a little wet, early spring conditions, we where told before we went out. was cartpath only, which slowed us a bit.all staff super friendly. will try to back this summer.
needed marshalls to push play along.
course was fine for mid-November, but play was far too slow. Several times we had 3 groups waiting on the same tee box. Airated greens are a pain but seemingly unavoidable at this time of year.
So close to the city...
Greatest thing about the course is that it is so very close to Toronto and if you like jets (we do!), the sounds and sights of airplanes is a nice bonus. However, in terms of playability, it feels too tight and tricked up. Many of the holes just don't look or feel "right". Pace of play has been big problem in the past, but on the day we played, there was a frost delay and the staff were amazing to make up the time and get everyone finished in time.
The course is clearly maintained; sadly the aerated greens and top dressing on the day we played made putting impossible (but that's Fall golf too). Overall, it's overrated, over-priced and not really worth the value for the price. We play it because it's close by and whenever we can get a "hot" deal.
This course needs some work.
I havent played this course in a few years and now understand why.I understand it's November and all and this is usually the time for courses to start arigating greens and such but the course was patchy in the fairways at best and greens were in rough shape but overall for the condition of the course, the price did not suite the condition it was in.
needed to be at least 10-15% cheaper.Sorry but it's the truth.
Course was in good shape.
The course was in Good shape. The only disappointment was the fact that it was never mention on Golf Now that the greens had just been aerated which made putting a bit difficult. This need to be put back onto the web site so people will know before booking their round if the greens had been recently aerated. All in all was still an enjoyable experience.
Great condition for November
Overall course was in great condition minus the greens since they aerated them (understandable)
Course was a bit wet due to the recent heavy rainfall so cart path only. Other than that it was great.
Close to airport
We like to place this course as a warm-up the day or morning before we leave on a golf vacation Just minutes from airport hotel strip.
A good park side golf course for a straight hitter. Had fun.
Good open course, greens had a lot of undulation on them.
Good driving holes and challenging par three's.
Quite challenging with tight fairways, lots of water, tough but fun greens
This is a challenging course since the fairways are narrow with water across many. You cannot always play driver off the tee - very much target golf. Fairways are in decent (not pristine) conditon but the greens are very good, fast and difficult with lots of undulations. Worth playing again since it such fun - need to think your way around.
Good but tough and tight and very slow
Great course but for a tough and tight course they should incorporate a better spacing between groupings. We waited on every tee box and on some par 5s there were 3 groups on the hole at the same time. They know that the course is tough and tight so why don't they better space the groupings? Trying to maximize revenue and thus a 5hour and 15 min round. The marshalls were great and they knew and warned it would be a slow round. But better overall "course management" by the owners would not require constant excuses from everyone playing and working there. Makes it a little uncomfortable at times while playing.
The course is overrated and overpriced
lots of challenge for my game. Water comes in to play on the majority of holes. Forced carries on long approach shots.
I find a general take it or leave it attitude in the pro shop.
The GPS units weren't working and there was no service at the half-way house (not the first time this has happened). Due to its location the course does not tolerate even light rain very well. Directly beneath the path of aircraft arriving and departing Toronto Intl Airport.
The course keeps you interested.
Everchanging hole shapes for an interesting and challenging layout.
