great afternoon
The course was in great shape, well watered in a dry season, the staff was helpful, with several elevated tees it was a great afternoon.
Not worth the money
The course was well kept but not worth the money for a 9 hole course. There are much nicer 18 hole courses for better value. The staff was not friendly. We asked to book an additional 9 holes (not on golf now) to make up 18 holes and were charged full cart rental even though we already had one.
Would not play again.
Lovely "Old" Course
Mature trees and undulating fairways add to enjoyment. In the middle of town and yet quite quiet on the course.
1st timer
Good value and friendly staff
Older established and fun ksyout
First time playing this course and found it unique with combing the tee block colours for each nine. to determine what total yardage suits your game. Wide fairways and pretty views from elevated tees.
Certainly, would consider playing again if the opportunity was to present itself.
Disappointing Atmosphere..
This is a great little course in the middle of the city that suffers from having rude and unwelcoming members. You will not feel welcome here if you are younger than 60 years old. The course still has a "private" vibe even though it's now open to the public. While playing this morning, we had 2 elderly men in front of us who actually drove onto our hole and stole one of our balls. We had to deal with them constantly making rude remarks while pointing and laughing at us the entire round. This course would greatly improve if current members were pleasant and learned basic manners/golf etiquette. This would absolutely be our go-to course if we felt more comfortable playing there.
Had a great golf day experiance
I golfed on a cool and windy spring day. The pace of the course was very good until I game upon a group of five or six, but I had a cart and just skipped that hole. I was hitting the ball well and the putts were running true and dropping.
afternoon delight
my go too shot is a draw, difficult to play #8 and #9 fade works best on both holes. got lucky on #9 balls draws around tall pine trees to with in 5 yards of the right side bunker chip in for an eagle.don't be above the on #9 all down hill.
This course was in very rough shape
Grass was to long on the tee boxes. Fairways were in rough shape. Should have been in a lot better condition or not opened at all.
Great 9 hole track.
Two sets of tees let you play 18 holes at this very well maintained course with mature trees and nice holes.
The greens were in great shape and the course is a nice combination of shorter and longer holes. Even though it's in town, it was very quiet and peaceful. Worth the drive.
Great course
This is a very nice course with lots of variety. The greens are in top condition. And with four tee blocks to choose from, you can make it as hard as you want it to be.
IT WAS VERY NICE
The workers are very kind and The course was very nice too.
There are lot of trees and good condition of fairway.
It was excellent patio.
But nine hole was so too short.
poor attitude
was told cart had to be in by 8.00 but slow players did not allow us to finish our round. My wife was told by the marshal to pick up her ball after a triple but the two other men playing were worse and no mention was made to them. The marshal was rude and should use some common sense as there was no one being held up. They did not appreciate our business.
Great Golf day
Play 9 with my wife and son. Very nice. Course is a good walking course as tees are close to end of teh last hole.
Pleasantly surprised
We hesitated to golf here in the past because of it only being a 9 hole course. We are very glad we did and won't hesitate to go back. Great course so close to home.
Oreo
Course is ok only 2 par 3s condition is decent greens are good old men walking with no shirts tho
Good Day at Country Club
Course is in good condition. Played here last year but course looking better this year. Had a fine time.
1912 nine hole gem
The 9 hole Guelph GC is over 100 years old and should appeal to any golfer tired of playing the cookie-cutter zillion yard courses that are so common to modern golf design.
Play 9 or replay from different tee boxes which makes the course measure approx. 6000 for a par 70. Each hole is tree-lined with frequent patches of thick forests. The course features smallish greens many of which are elevated and the rough although not deep is fairly gnarly in may locations.
Best hole is the par 4 fourth (13th) which is around 440 yds. with water hazards to the left of the driving landing area and closr to the right of the green which slopes severly from left to right. One anomaly of the layout is the back-to-back par 3's
(#s 6 and 7) both of which require accurate drives to avoid the strategic bunkering.
Couse was in oustanding condition and is easily walkable.
Very good 9 hole course.
Very enjoyable 9, I will go back again if the price is under $30 for 18.
WORTH THE DRIVE
Guelph CC was a 50 minute drive from Mississauga and WORTH IT!
Truly has a 'Country Club' feeling. Laid back, elderly average with nice homes surrounding many holes .. The houses are far enough back to fade into the background and rarely come into play (unless you are a big sprayer).
Enjoyed all aspects of the round.
Davey Smith from Mississauga
The price tells you a lot about the course always look up pictures before going !
