Great 9 hole track.
Two sets of tees let you play 18 holes at this very well maintained course with mature trees and nice holes.
The greens were in great shape and the course is a nice combination of shorter and longer holes. Even though it's in town, it was very quiet and peaceful. Worth the drive.
Great course
This is a very nice course with lots of variety. The greens are in top condition. And with four tee blocks to choose from, you can make it as hard as you want it to be.
IT WAS VERY NICE
The workers are very kind and The course was very nice too.
There are lot of trees and good condition of fairway.
It was excellent patio.
But nine hole was so too short.
poor attitude
was told cart had to be in by 8.00 but slow players did not allow us to finish our round. My wife was told by the marshal to pick up her ball after a triple but the two other men playing were worse and no mention was made to them. The marshal was rude and should use some common sense as there was no one being held up. They did not appreciate our business.
Pleasantly surprised
We hesitated to golf here in the past because of it only being a 9 hole course. We are very glad we did and won't hesitate to go back. Great course so close to home.
Oreo
Course is ok only 2 par 3s condition is decent greens are good old men walking with no shirts tho
1912 nine hole gem
The 9 hole Guelph GC is over 100 years old and should appeal to any golfer tired of playing the cookie-cutter zillion yard courses that are so common to modern golf design.
Play 9 or replay from different tee boxes which makes the course measure approx. 6000 for a par 70. Each hole is tree-lined with frequent patches of thick forests. The course features smallish greens many of which are elevated and the rough although not deep is fairly gnarly in may locations.
Best hole is the par 4 fourth (13th) which is around 440 yds. with water hazards to the left of the driving landing area and closr to the right of the green which slopes severly from left to right. One anomaly of the layout is the back-to-back par 3's
(#s 6 and 7) both of which require accurate drives to avoid the strategic bunkering.
Couse was in oustanding condition and is easily walkable.
Very good 9 hole course.
Very enjoyable 9, I will go back again if the price is under $30 for 18.
WORTH THE DRIVE
Guelph CC was a 50 minute drive from Mississauga and WORTH IT!
Truly has a 'Country Club' feeling. Laid back, elderly average with nice homes surrounding many holes .. The houses are far enough back to fade into the background and rarely come into play (unless you are a big sprayer).
Enjoyed all aspects of the round.
Davey Smith from Mississauga
older club house but well maintained
The greens and fairway were not in the condition that I anticipated by reputation but it is still early. I expected a moderate pace but seriously disappointed as the first nine was about two hours and the second 30 minutes longer. I understand that the membership is retired and comfortable with each other but with no marshals to control the pace I am not likely to go there again any time soon. I have wanted to play there for some time and with the Golf Now discount it was an opportunity but I would not pay club green fees to play there again.
great course
Great golf course in very good shape.nice elevated holes . pretty wide open will play there again
Rumors of a Stanley Thompson Design in 1912 May Be Accurate!
Classic woodlands course with terrific mature trees lining the fairways and lots of elevation changes. Lots of bunkers, but little water. Holes are deceptively long and tough for for 9-holer. Greens in great shape for so early in the season. Highly-recommended if your woodlands fan.
Guelph in the fall
Avery good course that is well layed- out and in very good condition. A pleasure to play.
Fair Challenge, Fair Price
Nine hole course with two different sets of tees for the back and front nine. The two separate tees offer both different yardages and different angles to attack the wide tree lined fairways. Not a long course, but not forgiving. The premium is on approach shots into these small, shaped greens. Nice looking course as well, with several elevation changes off of the tees. A very enjoyable day.
nine hole gem in the middle of Guelph
Had a great day < have lived only 20 minutes away and never had played this delightful little nine hole challenge. Great staff and was able to pair up with a couple of gentleman that I hope to now call friends..
Great day.
Nice old course in mature setting
This is a nice course in a mature area with large old trees. Course is in really good shape, especially the greens with the age of the course and the harsh winter we had. There are several tight holes with houses in play - especially tee off on 1 & 9. Overall, a relaxed enjoyable round.
Well maintained course
Friendly pro shop staff, gave us a good start to a very enjoyable round of golf.
The nine hole course with four set of tee boxes made it similar to an 18 hole course.
Course well maintained, and in great condition.
Greens were left long as they had problems with spring irrigation...they are awesome now...
