Located only minutes away from downtown Hamilton and offering a spectacular view of the city, the Chedoke Golf Club features two 18-hole championship golf courses. Nestled under the Niagara Escarpment, the Beddoe Course, a Stanley Thompson design, is a wonderfully scenic, challenging and demanding. It plays 6,084 yards from the championship tees.

Pretty good
Nice and open. most greens/fairways in good condition. only complaint i really have is that the tee off signs and pathways are facing the wrong way or confusing, making it a bit tricky to navigate.

Don't go There
Have played the Beddoe numerous times but this is without a doubt the worst conditions there that I have experienced. Covid 19 restrictions, the summer drought and lack of maintenance have certainly taken their toll. My overall "poor" rating is based primarily on these conditions.
Don't get me talking about the excessive goose droppings but there were more than excessive droppings. Greens were aerated and/or in the process of aeration but there was no notification on the Golfnow website of this. Consequently they were painfully slow.It had rained the night before which left many of the tee boxes very muddy which made footing a challenge. Fairways were rock hard in many places, grassless and full of weeds. Therefore, it was very difficult to find a decent lie on them.
Therefore, I would take a pass on the course until 2021.
Nice course to start with
Really good value for money here. Course was at times a bit difficult to navigate as holes were not well signposted. Luckily had someone with me that knew the course otherwise I would still be looking for hole 11! This was a nice wide open course and the hills really benefited me in terms of distance. However the open-ness was also a bit of a disservice as it was really easy to hit into and get hit by other players.

Enjoyed the round. Greens and some tee decks could use some TLC

Situated in Hamilton on the escarpment, this municipal course is an absolute gem. With a variety of par 5s and 3s and a thoughtful layout and great price, you can’t go wrong.
