About
Located only minutes away from downtown Hamilton and offering a spectacular view of the city, the Chedoke Golf Club features two 18-hole championship golf courses. Nestled under the Niagara Escarpment, the Beddoe Course, a Stanley Thompson design, is a wonderfully scenic, challenging and demanding. It plays 6,084 yards from the championship tees.

Condition
The tee boxes on par 3 were muddy and very little grass, practice greens weren't maintained very well. Overall condition of course was ok but not great.
A good track
Very fair and very interesting layout. Good value for money
Great value !
We played the Beddoe, we can see why it is such a great test for golf.
Course was in great shape and the greens were soft and true.
More effort is required on the cart paths and tee boxes and this would easily play like a $100 round vs the $50 we paid
Overall we really liked it.
You get what you pay for
It’s cheap for a reason. Staff are rude, amenities are run down, course was burnt to a crisp (silver lining: the ball will run much further), tee boxes were destroyed. It’s also right along a public trail system, so you’ll have random oblivious people walking on the fairway - I didn’t see a Marshal at all. No beverage cart, no golf cart (I got a condescending response for not having booked my cart in advanced). You also better like the roar of the highway, because you’ll hear/see that throughout.
hard pass
I know what the standard expectation is for a muni, but having played Brae Benn the weekend before maybe I was expecting too much. The fairways haven't seen water in weeks are are rock hard. I have played in the desert and it didn't prepare me for this courses condition. The pace of play and general etiquette were appalling. Had people snap hooking tee shots to the far side of another fairway than walking across someone elses fairway like a lost moose trying to play the lie while others were trying to tee off. This happened twice. I guess I should have expected as much from Hamilton
Good value
Course was in great condition. Waited on very few shots-great pace.
Wide open, forgiving on many of my missed shots.

Nice layout with different challenges. Very friendly staff.
Great course at a great price
Beddoe is a lot more fun to play. Grounds were in great shape and the staff very friendly as usual. Pace of play was good for first five holes then we caught up to a very slow foursome but just waited till the end. Will golf here again for sure.
