About
Located only minutes away from downtown Hamilton and offering a spectacular view of the city, Chedoke Golf Club features two 18-hole championship golf courses. The par-70 Martin Course was built in 1896 and was the original Hamilton Golf & Country Club before it was relocated to Ancaster. It plays 5, 745 yards from the championship tees.

Decent length track in the city
I don’t think I’ve ever heard “fore” yelled more frequently. Next to no rough separating the fairways so you often get golfers from adjacent holes looking for balls on your fairway. There are also public hiking and bike trails throughout (some cut right through the fairway). Some really pretty holes with cool topography. 18 holes took 5 hours with carts. It’s a nice laidback pace for beginners with long enough holes to challenge seasoned golfers.
Hot Hot Hot
Today was a hot one for doing anything outside. We managed a bit with lots of water. Unfortunately there wasn't much of a breeze but we got through it. The course is in pretty good shape. Greens were firm but a little on the slow side with a few holes that seemed a little quicker so putting was a little tougher to figure out which was which. Decent time for our round at just over 4 hours which seemed like double that with the heat. Any problems with our game were more heat related than conditions based. They cut the fescue and the 1st cut of rough on most holes to widen the fairways which was a good choice to speed the game up a bit. Al in all a good time was had for all of us. Thanks Chedoke supervisors and ground crew. Job well done.

This course is excellent value as well as a challenging layout, conditions were good.
Okay for $25
Fairways are less than desirable full of clovers and weeds, which I understand is hard to control but this course needs a renovation! Had a good time of course, pace of play was good and greens were in great condition. T boxes need to be bigger to accommodate all the traffic this course gets.
