About
Northern Dunes Golf Club is a 18-hole championship course that tumbles across the gently rolling landscape of Bruce Peninsula. The front nine lays across natural sand dunes and while the back nine's landscape required a bit more work, it manages to seamlessly blend with the surroundings. Steve Young, the course architect, incorporated the classic elements of a traditional Scottish links layout but he also wanted the course to have a thoroughly modern feel. The result is a challenging design featuring large greens and over 50 bunkers filled with natural sand strategically placed throughout. The prevailing northwest winds provide another tricky element. Northern Dunes G.C. is ideally situated less than 10 miles from Lake Huron and Sauble Beach and is accessible from all directions.

Good game
Checking in was smooth, carts ready to go, Marshall was there to let us know when to go… we were paired with another couple when we got there and thankfully they were great. The golf course is lovely , the greens have snow mold as the other lady pointed out so the ball does not move smooth over those and it was not every green… just a few … over all great and will go again
Unfortunate
So unfortunate. It is by far the most beautiful layout in the region. Every hole is different. BUT grass is sparse on the front nine. You have to move your ball to come to have grass under your ball even in the fairway. On the other hand, the greens were superb.

Utter disappointment
had good expectations to play this course after playing a wonderful course at Saugeen golf course 2 days prior. I guess Saugeen ruined it for me as it was immaculate....Northern Dunes not so much. There wasn't one good thing I can say about this course. From diseased unplayable greens to poor turf conditions including tee boxes and fairways I had no inspiration to play. Golfnow I hold partly responsible this course should not be on their site. I would love a FULL refund but won't hold my breath. It was definitely the low point of my vacation.
Good value
Course was in good condition overall, one temporary green due to damage. Some fairways are sparse due to the dry conditions and sandy soil but we just played preferred lies.
I would play there again.
Poor conditions
The course is in very poor shape. Grass on the fairways is sparce, some tees have been scalped so there is no grass to hit off of. There is still a temporarily green and a couple are still recovering from a harsh winter..
There are no vegetarian choices in the restaurant.
Had Fun
It is a bit dusty and dry, but the greens were green and slower but consistent.
Like the layout except for a few holes. It is built on sand, so green grass is sometimes hard to find on some fairways.
We had fun and played in well under 4 hours.
Will definitely play here again!
