About
Northern Dunes Golf Club is a 18-hole championship course that tumbles across the gently rolling landscape of Bruce Peninsula. The front nine lays across natural sand dunes and while the back nine's landscape required a bit more work, it manages to seamlessly blend with the surroundings. Steve Young, the course architect, incorporated the classic elements of a traditional Scottish links layout but he also wanted the course to have a thoroughly modern feel. The result is a challenging design featuring large greens and over 50 bunkers filled with natural sand strategically placed throughout. The prevailing northwest winds provide another tricky element. Northern Dunes G.C. is ideally situated less than 10 miles from Lake Huron and Sauble Beach and is accessible from all directions.

Long Fairways lead to great greens!
Challenging within range. Great course for an afternoon of family fun! Wonderful patio, food and staff. Smiles galore!
Great Overall Experience
Started the round out a little slow but the friendly marshals sped play up and from there on out it was smooth sailing. The course was in the best condition I have seen it in. Fun round with some holes where strategy is a must.
Slow Play
Pace of play for this fun layout was brutal. No player assistant on course to monitor pace of play. In fact, there was a 6some infornt of us taking their sweet time cranking out tunes from their cart. Shame could have been a great golf day. 4.5+ hours to play 18.
Never played a course in this bad of shape
Layout is nice but I can't even explain how bad of condition the course is in. T blocks and fairways are beyond horrible. The couple holes you can see from the road were decent, otherwise you had to move your ball to find patches of grass on the fairway and t blocks

Nice lay out
Overall course was a little rough but very challenging and some really unique holes. Staff were very friendly and accomadating., would definitely play again. Good job guys
Bruce Peninsula Gem
Played twice this week and enjoyed the experience both times. When in the area I will definitely return. Also there COVID protocol was first rate.. Well done!
Back Nine is Best
The course is OK for vacation golfing when options are few and far between.
Front 9 is not in great shape from Tee to Green. Tee boxes are especially poor.
Back 9 was all in all decent and playing the back 9 twice for an 18 hole round would have been a good option if available.
Appreciating the course amenities was not an option in today’s covid environment. The Staff we did engage with was friendly and helpful.

Better options nearby
Found course in just fair condition. Greens ok-to-poor, tees poor, course needed water. Layout confusing to first time players. Cost me strokes. I’ll play other nearby courses before I return here.

Poor conditions
Friendly efficient check in staff. The course was in very poor condition. Fairways were bare. Hard to find good grass to hit from. Sand traps were like concrete and full of weeds.

Course conditions are terrible
Played Northern Dunes a few years ago and it wasn’t to bad. Went there on the 21st of June for a golf trip and it was awful. The fairways were patchy, burnt out and had more weeds then grass. The greens were beat up and the ball would bounce more then roll. Extremely disappointed in the condition of the course. They charge far more then they should for this course as well. I will not be returning again even though I am in the area all summer at my cottage.

Front nine was in tough condition compared to back 9. Fairly silly having a shed in play on fairway 17. Oops, but had a super quick round for 3 guys under 3 hrs
