About
Northern Dunes Golf Club is a 18-hole championship course that tumbles across the gently rolling landscape of Bruce Peninsula. The front nine lays across natural sand dunes and while the back nine's landscape required a bit more work, it manages to seamlessly blend with the surroundings. Steve Young, the course architect, incorporated the classic elements of a traditional Scottish links layout but he also wanted the course to have a thoroughly modern feel. The result is a challenging design featuring large greens and over 50 bunkers filled with natural sand strategically placed throughout. The prevailing northwest winds provide another tricky element. Northern Dunes G.C. is ideally situated less than 10 miles from Lake Huron and Sauble Beach and is accessible from all directions.

Bruce Peninsula Gem
Played twice this week and enjoyed the experience both times. When in the area I will definitely return. Also there COVID protocol was first rate.. Well done!
Back Nine is Best
The course is OK for vacation golfing when options are few and far between.
Front 9 is not in great shape from Tee to Green. Tee boxes are especially poor.
Back 9 was all in all decent and playing the back 9 twice for an 18 hole round would have been a good option if available.
Appreciating the course amenities was not an option in today’s covid environment. The Staff we did engage with was friendly and helpful.
Better options nearby
Found course in just fair condition. Greens ok-to-poor, tees poor, course needed water. Layout confusing to first time players. Cost me strokes. I’ll play other nearby courses before I return here.

Poor conditions
Friendly efficient check in staff. The course was in very poor condition. Fairways were bare. Hard to find good grass to hit from. Sand traps were like concrete and full of weeds.

Course conditions are terrible
Played Northern Dunes a few years ago and it wasn’t to bad. Went there on the 21st of June for a golf trip and it was awful. The fairways were patchy, burnt out and had more weeds then grass. The greens were beat up and the ball would bounce more then roll. Extremely disappointed in the condition of the course. They charge far more then they should for this course as well. I will not be returning again even though I am in the area all summer at my cottage.

Front nine was in tough condition compared to back 9. Fairly silly having a shed in play on fairway 17. Oops, but had a super quick round for 3 guys under 3 hrs

we cancelled this outing on the 10th of june we did NOT play on the 13th of june so I better not be charged for this.

Not worth the money
We had an awful experience at Northern Dunes. We read reviews from 2019 previous to attending the course and they are all accurate.
The ground is hard and dry for the front 9 holes. The back 9 holes were better but quality was still low. Again it looks as though they focus on the quality of holes closest to the highway to look the best.
The day was very hot and there was no one working on the beverage cart for the day. We were not told this either before starting. We did have some water on the course but not enough to get us through 18 holes. It would have been nice to purchase some water or at least would have been nice to know the beverage cart wasn’t running before heading out.
We will not be returning to this course. The price is too expensive for the quality of the course.

Haven’t played in a long time but really enjoyed it as usual we met up with the Laurier girl that works there and she was a treat directing us around the course thank you
Glass
Fairways were decent for the time, few rainy days and a cut after that would bring it too a good condition. Cant blame the staff or groundskeeper for dry weather. Greens were freshly rolled and glassy due to good cut but dry grounds. Would recommend to anyone, layout is nice. Looks deceivingly easier than it is.
I will be returning at some point, lots of courses I want to play.
