About
Northern Dunes Golf Club is a 18-hole championship course that tumbles across the gently rolling landscape of Bruce Peninsula. The front nine lays across natural sand dunes and while the back nine's landscape required a bit more work, it manages to seamlessly blend with the surroundings. Steve Young, the course architect, incorporated the classic elements of a traditional Scottish links layout but he also wanted the course to have a thoroughly modern feel. The result is a challenging design featuring large greens and over 50 bunkers filled with natural sand strategically placed throughout. The prevailing northwest winds provide another tricky element. Northern Dunes G.C. is ideally situated less than 10 miles from Lake Huron and Sauble Beach and is accessible from all directions.

Not worth the money
We had an awful experience at Northern Dunes. We read reviews from 2019 previous to attending the course and they are all accurate.
The ground is hard and dry for the front 9 holes. The back 9 holes were better but quality was still low. Again it looks as though they focus on the quality of holes closest to the highway to look the best.
The day was very hot and there was no one working on the beverage cart for the day. We were not told this either before starting. We did have some water on the course but not enough to get us through 18 holes. It would have been nice to purchase some water or at least would have been nice to know the beverage cart wasn’t running before heading out.
We will not be returning to this course. The price is too expensive for the quality of the course.

Haven’t played in a long time but really enjoyed it as usual we met up with the Laurier girl that works there and she was a treat directing us around the course thank you
Glass
Fairways were decent for the time, few rainy days and a cut after that would bring it too a good condition. Cant blame the staff or groundskeeper for dry weather. Greens were freshly rolled and glassy due to good cut but dry grounds. Would recommend to anyone, layout is nice. Looks deceivingly easier than it is.
I will be returning at some point, lots of courses I want to play.
Good for the money
Pretty nice course with some nasty sand traps. There were lots of people on the course but all were friendly and the speed of play was pretty good.
Great track conveniently located for Grey Bruce residents
Course was in good shape and COVID protocol was easy to follow with check in and cart.
One suggestion is separate line for golf check in and beverage sales. We were slowed a bit to start our back nine due to the queue

It was an excellent day at the course the weather was great and the corvid 19 precautions in place did not effect the golfing much check in was smooth and golfing was good
Surprise
It is a very good layout. Course was in overall great shape considering the shotgun opening.
Only negative was the group ahead. Extremely slow pace. A Marshall would have been nice to either move them along or remind them to allow faster groups to play through.
Great value country course
Some great holes set in a quiet country environment.
Course conditions such as fairway grass could be better but it’s good value for the price.
Considering COVID
No concerns at all. Staff all prepared. Busy day for them. Very smooth. Made my day
it was encouraging to see that most of the bare areas on the fairways are filling in nicely, and we were happy to hear that there are plans to put some grass seed on as well. And I was quite impressed that they've left the aerating to do later so that it didn't interfere with our golf game! Looking forward to getting back out there but probably not until next Spring, with the change in weather now
Patches
Nice day with some windy intervals.
Greens are in good shape but the fairways are very patchy. Expect to to roll the ball over to find some grass.
