Northern Dunes Golf Club
About
Northern Dunes Golf Club is a 18-hole championship course that tumbles across the gently rolling landscape of Bruce Peninsula. The front nine lays across natural sand dunes and while the back nine's landscape required a bit more work, it manages to seamlessly blend with the surroundings. Steve Young, the course architect, incorporated the classic elements of a traditional Scottish links layout but he also wanted the course to have a thoroughly modern feel. The result is a challenging design featuring large greens and over 50 bunkers filled with natural sand strategically placed throughout. The prevailing northwest winds provide another tricky element. Northern Dunes G.C. is ideally situated less than 10 miles from Lake Huron and Sauble Beach and is accessible from all directions.

Pace of play is a problem
The course is nice, and challenging enough and the staff is great. Pace of play is not enforced. There have been several times that the course does not have enough carts for patrons- this is likely due to pace of play problems. It was exceptionally slow today. People are there to party hanging out on the fairways rather than moving the game along. If there are learners, that’s great; however, Someone needs to remind patrons to pick up after +3 on a hole, and keep up to the group in front. Set some clocks out every 4 or 6 holes that show a lag to reflect your expected tee off time. For example, set a clock on a board for the expected pace with a note “if this clock is later than your tee off time you’re playing too slow!” I’ve been hit into nearly every round. I’m not a slow player. People get impatient and it can be dangerous.
Fun course
Excellent value. Friendly staff. Excellent menu and food. Beverage cart very attentive good value.
Pleasantly surprised
We were surprised at the high level course and greens conditions considering the cost to play. Easy and open from the front tees but challenging from the back. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Look forward to playing again someday. Was a little slow for us playing on a long weekend but was told by members that it is much quicker during the week.
Good set up
The course set up is quite good however the overall condition wasn’t great. Could be the Sandy soil but the fairways were not in good condition
Nice course .
Nice course challenging at some holes but not punishing.great value for money and freindly staff.a little slow now that it is tourist season
Best Value in the Area!
Exceptional staff! Great layout… Watch Out for that 17th hole… especially if you haven’t played there before. Maybe not as pristine as some GTA courses… but still well maintained. We still had an awesome day. Will definitely be back when we are in the area again!
The course has a great variety of holes nice land scape
Nice Corse the only thing I would suggest is to move the T blocks a little more often.
