Check conditions before booking
Course was recently aerated but it was advertised. Marshal let people playing 9 holes in front of golfers playing 18 on the back nine. Twenty minute wait between holes. Issues wa brought up to the club house, no one seems to care.
Great Public course!!!
The course is in great shape! Greens roll smooth and true. Fairways cut nicely. Rough penalizes you but doesnt end your chances to salvage your hole. Tee boxes are in good shape (except 2 of then on the back nine are beat up) Bunkers could use more sand but otherwise the course does NOT resemble a public course. From the time you drive up and get greeted by the clubhouse shuttle, you will feel you are at a privatw facility. Not overly impressed with the courtesy of pro shop and resturant, that reminded me where i was at. But the Matshall, ground keepers (which are everyone maintaining seemingly every hole, impressive!!!) and bag boys were all pleasant and helpful. The course doesnt play long but is challenging. Off tee must shape your ball and play positiona at times. Greens small so will test irons accuracy. Loved the course. A bit pricey for a public course but if you can get a "hot deal" rate or any discount, two words: MUST PLAY!
Great round
It was a beautiful day and the course was in great shape. Greens were excellent and matched the condition of the practice green. Friendly staff. Course was not busy. We played in 3 hours 45 minutes thanks to a foursome that let the two of us play through. Ninety degree cart rule was in effect on the day we were there. All in all a great day and would definitely recommend.
Amazing Conditions
Never disappointed playing at Loch March. Green complexes are always in amazing condition as are the fairways.
Staff is friendly and professional. You will not be disappointed playing here.
Great condition
No bugs yet! This course is normally unbearable mid-season with the Mosquitos.
Going to play there a lot before the bugs come. Best value $60 with cart.
Course in very good condition - but staff needs etiquette training
For this time of year, Loch March is probably the course in the best shape in the Ottawa region.
We were a twosome playing from their gold tees at a fairly quiet tee time (1pm) there and while we were each teeing off, staff were either zooming around in carts or making loud noise with one another with no regard whatsoever for us. The same noise and disturbance took place when we were trying to tee off on the 10th, again in the same area. At a minimum, they should look up, be more aware of the players and wait a few seconds before moving their carts or shouting at one another, which would make our visit more pleasant and perhaps have us come back again and recommend Loch March to many others. The golf course business in the region needs to raise its game in customer service!
what a beauty!!
First time playing Loch March and won't be my lat..it was worth the 1.5 hr drive! From the first tee box over looking the hole you could see what you are up against...water most the way down the right side...many holes have water to carry or alongside the fairways...greens were undulating quick and true...Bunkers all had soft sand and made playing out of a breeze.definatly a course to add to your bucket list if you're in E. Ontario!
Challenging layout
Course has excellent layout and in great shape. Need to play the course more than once.
Condition of course is excellent. Bring extra balls (water and trees). friendly staff.
Nice fairways, bunkers need work
Nice course, quiet location, fairways were in great condition, greens had been punched a week before and were still in rough shape. Tee boxes and bunkers could use some work. Pace of play was very decent (1pm weekday tee time). Regular price green fees are on the high side for what you get, I wouldn't pay full price there but if you can get a great deal it's definitely worth playing. Very nice driving range/practice area as well. I would compare this course to Canadian in many ways.
Great day
From the staff to the course conditions everything was amazing. Beautiful and challenging course with very pleasing scenery. I played in the afternoon and my mosquito spray was very welcome. Will definately play this course again!
Wonderful Course & Facilties
I always enjoy the course. The layout and service are first rate.
That said, when I arrive at the first green and find that it is punched and top dressed I feel like I have a diminished experience. No one can putt on those greens with any feeling that there is a line to the hole.
I didn't expect to find late season conditions on August 9th!
Always a treat
Everytime I find a deal on GolfNow for this course, I grab it because it's always a treat to play. The fairways and greens are in excellent shape.
Best course in over 30 years
Thanks to all the staff and management at this magnificent course.
I've been playing golf for over 45 years and I rate this course in my top 5 courses I've visited in north America.
I recommend this course to all golf fans that want a good challenge with superb views.
The course is in great conditions.
Thank you for guiding us there.

From start to finish this place is awesome. Food was great too a must play!
Exellent Course 5 Stars
Staff was super friendly, Course was in excellent shape, Greens were fair and true. Will be going back at the first opportunity. A little more expensive but worth every penny.
Great condition
A great round and some exceptionally friendly staff.
Greens were velvet perfection
First time here. Won't be my last. The best greens I have played in a long time. Course condition was amazing and the staff were excellent. Can't wait to play here again. The course is challenging and yet still playable for your average golfer. I want a rematch with this beautiful course!
fun for everyone
Great course, love the par 3s. Fun & challenging for all types of golfers. Lots of elevation changes and very picturesque. Will go back.
Great course
Had a great round. Staff and course were excellent. A shame my score wasn't that good.
Great course, beautiful place to play in the fall
This is a great course to play in the fall and for the most part it was in excellent shape. They punched all the tee blocks the morning we were there, the plugs weren't removed and it made it a little messy and hard to find a good spot to tee off. Great day, but a tad dissapointing given we paid full price and weren't told about the work.
