Terrible tees Photo submitted by JSP2118 on 08/25/2019
Friday Morning golf...
Other courses I have played post Covid-19 have tee times on 12 minute variables. Here was 10. It was crowded though pace of play was fine. With Covid, there was no water on the course for obvious reasons but with 29 degree heat you need beverage carts on the course and the foursome I was in didn't see on till the 17th tee and it was 400+ yards and 3-4 holes over. not good. You need to do better than this.
This course is set up for high volume golf traffic
Cardinal has a reputation as a tournament, social event type course. The East Wing is older, original and quite mature. It is a decent design and conditions were good. The course has certainly out priced itself during Covid 19. Demand is high under the circumstances so the course is charging about $25 per player more than normal.
Good Club to play
Today is my first time to go to East Wing course , the weather cooperated , Even it late October , warm and no wind, good time to play and for sure will come again ASAP
Terrible
This was like golfing at a flea market. I use golf now all the time. This is the first time I have felt I had to leave a review. The pace of pay was absolutely ridiculous. The front nine was slow and painful. Little did we know what was ahead of us at the turn. 3 foursomes sitting at the 10th. Ppl had gone in to eat etc I don’t know and come back out to the 10th. The back 9 was 10 times worse than the front and the marshals were invisible. I was warned to stay away from this course from others so I guess it’s partly my fault. Lol. Fool me once ..........
Went home after 11 holes
Quite literally. Went home after 11 holes. I get it’s a holiday weekend but pace of play beyond horrendous here. It ruins whole round and golf experience when you can’t get any rhythm going waiting 20 minutes at every tee block. No marshals to monitor activity and keep things moving. Just lots of attendants in the parking lot checking slips (several times over from the pro shop to first tee) and fussing over golf carts.
Complete waste of time and money unless you’re comfortable playing 11 holes for 4+ hours.
Well maintained course worth playing
The East course front 9 is a bit hilly but view is good. Fairways and greens are in good condition and pace of play is acceptable. Back 9 is longer with some water hazard and high rough and some fairways are pretty tight and therefore more challenging.Staffs are very friendly and polite and the power cart is of high quality. Overall a good course with moderate difficulty and can suit variety of players.
