Terrible tees Photo submitted by JSP2118 on 08/25/2019
Slow
I like playing their championship course. We decided to try either East or west but have stayed away from it For we know when it's a tournament type set up and the pacer play is slow.
There were no marshals on the course and the pace of play was ridiculous....
Red.
Crest, I absolutely would recommend. But i'm not too keen on the main facility courses.
Great condition and pace of play
Hadn't played here in a few years. It was in much better condition than I remembered except some unprepared ballmarks on greens. Some reviews mentioned 5 hour rounds but we played in 3 hours. 3 some in front played fast so did we. Good layout and enjoyed the round
Carts were dead, no staff to be found, course conditions not as nice as they used to be.
Not sure what happened to this course. Was once very enjoyable, but now the conditions are very flawed and the staff is all younger people who really couldn’t be found to help out. Carts batteries were dying mid-round. Just wasn’t an enjoyable experience. Although the twilight price was very affordable, it just isn’t what I remember the course as.
Time is of the essence
3 hours 20 mins for 9 holes. I left and won't come back
Terrible
Course booked a slow tournament that day and didn’t enforce pace of play. They then decided to try and maximize profits by over booking an already packed day. After requesting a refund because based on time they could finally get us out we would not be able to compete the round, I was given a tip by the marshal that I should call ahead and find out if they have a tournament before booking. I said that it shouldn’t be on the customer and maybe they shouldn’t accept bookings they can’t fulfill.
GPS on Carts are terrrible
Cardinal uses their GPS to advertise stuff they want to draw your attention 2. They also use it to keep the pace of play. Unfortunately, they don't factor in how close you are to the group in front. We would get warning about pace of play while we were waiting for the group in front to Tee off. Very frustrating as removing the message takes time. Also, their "Notices could easily be used to inform you at the start of each hole that it is cart path only. They don't. Their GPS cart system is much more annoying than helpful.
Swamp!
They should have not even opened east course. It was a swamp and they didn't tell anyone they just wanted the fees. Disappointed
The wet gets wetter !
Back nine was like playing on a flood plain..poor drainage and standing water everywhere..had a million mosquitoes and got bit everywhere...poor poor experience on the back 9..
Song Lo
Good pace, Nice layout, friendly staffs. Definitely go back a 100 times ...2 thumbs up
Swamp!! Avoid this course
Took 3 hours to finish 9 holes, 5.5 hours for 18 holes. Booked way too many golfers shotgun start tournament.
Course is also in a swamp, very badly maintained. Avoid at all costs.
Slow plya
No Marshall on site. 34 minutes slow play. Guys in front of us are too slow
Still very wet in back nine of East course
Front nine condition is quite good but back nine is very wet and car path only which slowed down pace of play severely. Greens condition are good and bunkers acceptable. Check in was quick with friendly n polite staff and Marshall. Management has to solve the drainage problem of this golf course and will not be back until condition improved.
No Rain Check
It was raining yesterday and I showed up for my teatime hoping to get a rain check because I didn’t want to get soaked as soon as I got to the prep shop they had a sign saying they were not giving out rain checks because it was in the forecast. They told me that the conditions were fine and that no one had used a rain check today, but my tee time was at 10:30AM and the forecast said it was only going to get worse. I got absolutely soaked in the front 9 and didn’t even finish my round. Don’t prepay for this course as it was a nightmare trying to get a rain check which ultimately didn’t even happen. Felt like I was forced to get wet and didn’t even enjoy or finish my round. Shame because I enjoy this track and never had to deal with a rain check before and it just felt like their “policy” was in place to just take your money.
