Cardinal Golf Club - East

Front nine condition is quite good but back nine is very wet and car path only which slowed down pace of play severely. Greens condition are good and bunkers acceptable. Check in was quick with friendly n polite staff and Marshall. Management has to solve the drainage problem of this golf course and will not be back until condition improved.

It was raining yesterday and I showed up for my teatime hoping to get a rain check because I didn’t want to get soaked as soon as I got to the prep shop they had a sign saying they were not giving out rain checks because it was in the forecast. They told me that the conditions were fine and that no one had used a rain check today, but my tee time was at 10:30AM and the forecast said it was only going to get worse. I got absolutely soaked in the front 9 and didn’t even finish my round. Don’t prepay for this course as it was a nightmare trying to get a rain check which ultimately didn’t even happen. Felt like I was forced to get wet and didn’t even enjoy or finish my round. Shame because I enjoy this track and never had to deal with a rain check before and it just felt like their “policy” was in place to just take your money.

I played the West Wing as they were too backed up on the East Wing. In particular, the rough on either side of the fairways was 5-6" high. That's fine for the pros, but a bit much to ask of the average golfer

Good value, however way too many golfers and overbooked. Tee off delay of 25 minutes, then hurry up and wait all day. 6.25 hours to play 18 holes??? Staff are friendly, pro shop under renovation, Marshall's were scarce to speed up pace of play. Saw our first one on the 15th hole whk asked us to hurry up while we all could see the group ahead of us approaching their second shot on the fairway. Course is okay good Value for the money. Still a tad wet and muddy in some areas as expected.

Played East Wing on a deal via GolfNow. I was there on a sunny day and it hadn’t rained for the past 3-4 days. I was surprised that cart path only was in effect, and only received notice as I was about to be on deck. The course was filled with wet spots filled with water.

Some heads up would be nice or at least a heads up before I pay for the cart.

Disappointing experience.

The course was water soaked and they let us play anyway. My feet were soaking wet after the first nine. Didn’t mention it when I checked in. I sent an email regarding it and nobody responded

The allowed play after rains in the morning. We teed off at 12:50, even though the rain stopped at 10 AM. the whole couse was soaking wet and inched of water in the fairway in many holes.

Course is in great shape otherwise. Greens, layout all were good.

There was a group of 8 playing together ahead of us which caused us to “give up” on the 7th hole. We reported the problem and were allowed to play the front 9 holes again. We had paid for 18 holes with a cart.

Great value although driving range was not open yet, pro shop and che king in under construction. Had to go upstairs then downstairs to get the cart. No cart or beverage cart on the course either. Was very wet and some holes fairways were under a lot of water, really unplayable. Great value though at $65 with a power cart on Golf Now.

The course is not playable due to the amount of water on the fairways. Except par 3s, most fairways are completely soaked in water. You need a rain boot to navigate around as power carts are not allowed to drive in, so need to walk every hole from car path to your balls. Cardinal should close the course n upgrade its sewage system. Even with Goretex waterproof shoes are no help as the whole shoes submerged into the water. No fun at all. Greens also not in good shape probably not being cut n some still have aeration marks so not even n difficult to putt.

The course is beautiful and very well maintained. Wish there were better amenities while playing.

It doesn't matter when you play at cardinal it is a 5.5 hour round. I played at 7am and finished at 1pm earlier this year. This round we teed off at 4.25 and didn't finish the round.
