Great course with reasonable difficulty !
Should have educate players to fix divot on green !!!
A great day
The course was in perfect shape, the greens running true and fast. All the staff were friendly and helpful which led to a great experience.
A Treat!!
Have played > 115 courses in On and had never heard anyone recommending this course until it was mentioned by a client a month ago. What a pleasant surprise! Excellent layout, lots of water. As usual, local knowledge of where to place your drives would help a lot.
Greens are hard to read. Some broke away from water instead of towards water.
Definitely a must play. Pity about the distance from Oakville.
Good Challenging Course
Course had rain the prior night and it was cart path only. I thought that there several holes that required hitting blind. Use of cart on fairway would have resolved that. Aside from that I enjoyed playing the course. It was challenging and will certainly return to play it again.
Way too many dogleg holes.
Way too many dogleg holes. Other than that, the greens were great considering the amount of rain a day before. Fairways were too wet and are not draining well enough for a course of this caliber . We had a Hot Deal at $70 per player, on a weekday, but there is better value for the money if you look at their regular prices.
Excellent course
Awesome day and even better deal…although is was cart path only that day…always a great time at redcrest …
More TLC
The course is somewhat challenging from the blue or red tees. The fairways need more talc as there were a lot of unrepaired divots. All in all good value for your $
Bad coffee lol
Spent 18$ on coffee and it's tastes like it was sitting in a cardboard box for 2 weeks but other then that fantastic course
Red Crest
was a great day and course. Very interesting and for November great conditions. Some long drives to place and set up on 2nd shots. Lots of length, bends, and undulations.
I will definitely be going back.
Excellent condition
Fairway, green condition is excellent!
Fun Course
Played on a windy and cool late October day, a bit of rain as well so it was challenging. Not many people on the course so the we basically play at any pace we wanted to. The staff was very friendly. We had a cart with the Hot Deal. However, the course is flat, definitely walkable. The condition of the fairways were still good and the greens were fast and true, it got slower later with the rain. We played from the whites and its not that long even the yardage on the score card says 6000 or so. Only a few holes make the yardage longer. The layout was nice, there are few holes where you have lateral water which I don't find too many in playing public courses in the GTA. Overall great experience.
Excellent Challenge for low-mid handicappers on an very nice Course
Conditions are very good, amazing even, considering the traffic the course gets.
The course itself is very well laid out, with plenty of challenging but fair holes. The greens are moderately fast, and true. It would be nice if everybody fixed their ball marks, and divots, but the greens crews do their best to control the damage.
Carts are brand new, and with GPS that actually works. It monitors pace and will shut the cart off if you go where you're not supposed to.
It would be difficult to find a course where the staff are more efficient, knowledgeable and courteous.
The Future: I hope that the new management, in its quest to impress new ownership, doesn't compromise the integrity of the golf course (and its experience) via "nickel & dime" cost cutting.
Challenges:
Bunkers: Lots of bunkers. Sand is moderately coarse, but uniform throughout all holes.
Water: Lots and lots of water, and on most holes. Water is ... well, water. Avoid it.
Rough: Primary rough sits at about 4 inches, and is tricky at best. Secondary rough - don't go in there - it's jungle.
Beer: At these prices are you kidding? Stephen Harper told us that ridiculous alcohol prices are there to teach us "social responsibility"..... he should pay nine bucks for a beer.
good and challenging course
Marshall would push some of team back to the pacing. Anyway, it is good course for coming back again.
