Great link course
Friendly staff and excellent pace.
One of the great public courses in GTA
Really fantastic round of Golf one can have at Redcrest. Many holes are not that far and with a medium driving distance of approx 220- to 240 yards, I found the course was perfect for me even from the back tees. Hole 10 plays really long and if you have a wind on your face it makes it even more difficult.
I had a great Time.
Nice Course-Excellent Hot Deal
RedCrest is about a 40 minute drive from midtown Toronto. Driving directions (and address) to the course refers to the original Cardinal courses (2740 Davis Dr) and NOT off the Keele St entrance. I told the Pro Shop that their website needs to be adjusted. As of today, not done.
Also, the RedCrest course is normally rated at $80+ (taxes and fees incl.) per game unless, you can get the HotDeal I received for $50. Golf courses at this rate should have a driving range available to their guests. There is only a single (unkempt) driving cage near the club house. The other Cardinal (East and West) courses have a very nice driving range on site. RedCrest management should have a shuttle between the new RedCrest and the driving range.
The ProShop and restaurant is below-average. The ProShop at the East/West courses is significantly larger than RedCrest. The restaurant/19-Hole amenities are below what I expected. BTW, there was no on-course services provided. Not sure why.
The course, however was very enjoyable. We started on the back-9. As this was mid-May and the weather in the area has been colder/cooler than usual, a lot of the early Spring flowers and tree growth were slow to emerge. Wind plays a factor on this course as much of the course is vulnerable to wind.
Golf carts are equipped with advanced GPS direction and enhanced video display. The cart paths meander to marsh land and offer golfers some beautiful sites. I look forward to playing here in mid-Summer to experience the full benefits of the view.
Missed the boat
Could have done so much more with property greens look fast but are slow .
Terrible par 3 (boring ) all the same
Wonky course
Redcreast
Good condition. Nice greens, Somewhat quirky layout. Number 10 is a terrible layout.
Nice Course.
The course was nice, but unforgiving. Easy to lose balls if you can't keep it straight. Fun to play overall. I would definitely play it again.
Great Course
RedCrest is a great course with a challenging layout. Course is in good shape for early in the season, traps and green were very good.
Great conditions for early opening
Always a great test of golf, very playable if you're hitting a straight ball.
one of the best valuable golf course
It was nice weather and I think this is one of the best valuable golf course. The staff was friendly.
Everythig was great for me.
Stay away from the rough
Course is in great condition even at this time of the year. Note the bent grass in the second cut really grabs your club so he sure you grip your club tighter to get out of the second cut. Friendly staff. Great course.
Great Value
Great value.
Golf course in great condition and with challenging holes. Not a long course, but challenging.
Excellent Course
RedCrest is an excellent golf course - very challenging with lots of lateral water hazards, so shoot straight. Course is in great shape from tee to green - 1/2 the greens were aerated which was interesting, but a good idea. Sand traps are in excellent condition & greens are mostly flat except for #18. Paved cart path thru course was a nice bonus.
Great course!
I think this is one of the best value golf course for my money! Very challenge design of layout, nice people working there. The only thing not so good is my score...@@
Awesome Course, Great Value
I was pleasantly surprised how nice this course. I was expecting an easier layout but I found it very challenging.
The fairways require a good tee game and the greens were well protected.
I'll play here again.
Another good day at Redcrest
As always, a good experience all round. Combination of accuracy, length and hazards enough to make it challenging but not overly difficult.
Nice challenging course
Not so sure it is worthwhile booking as a single through golfnow vs. calling proshop etc, however, staff were very accommodating and helpful. Lots of water and some tight fairways/greens. Overall, would recommend this course, especially if you are relatively close.
Beautiful course. Nice friendly starters. Wait staff very unprofessional and rude.
Starters very nice. Restaurant wait staff unfriendly with no awareness of customers time.
Nice course and fantastic restaurant value
Love to play this relatively new course every time. Due to Saturday weekend play, the pace was slower than normal especially the back nine which can be improved.
The club restaurant has the best chef and menu with Big Bang for your buck. Love it every time. A drink on the outdoor patio watching sunset just bring the golfing day to a perfect closure.
Nice design ..
Pleasant course, challenging. ..
Booked through golf now to find out at pro shop that I could have saved booking fee and would have had a breakfast by booking thru the course itself. .. I would call that disrespectful to the public as I was told the same times wwee available thru their site ..
Make a decision which way you want it redcrest!
