Eagles Nest Golf Club
About
Eagles Nest Golf Club sprawls across a rugged landscape of sand dunes and dense fescue that was formerly a sand and gravel quarry. The terrain is the ideal setting for a scenic, challenging round. The golf course's layout is a unique links design by Canada's top course architect, Doug Carrick, who incorporated slick, fast greens and meticulously manicured fairways. Golfers face many precarious challenges including sod wall bunkers, vast waste areas, and prevailing winds. Eagles Nest Golf Club offers panoramic views of downtown Toronto, especially on the par-3 8th hole. One of the most notably difficult holes is the par-5 17th, which features a split fairway, water, fescue, and a desert-like waste bunker.

golfer
Very nice course but over rated price wise. Golf now was right price at $65.
Fall Challenge
I always love playing this course. The layout is excellent and it has the right amount of challenge. I just wish it wasn't so expensive to play there or I would play more often.
Worth the drive!!
Spectacular course. Great mix of different types of holes, definitely no two holes alike as is often the case with many courses. Would play again, but would not pay over $100 for a round. Paid $80 today and it was well worth the money. Beautiful clubhouse, spectacular views, green ran true even though they had been aerated 4-5 days prior. I've played 30 different courses this year, this is the best by far. Even the little things like having a cart that moves faster then 3 mph and having an ice cooler with water bottles included was a great touch. Will be back soon. The only thing I would complain about is lack of a marshall. We ran into a threesome that had obviously had too much to drink. Well they thought it was ok to hit 2-3 balls and to go hunting for golf balls while we were waiting to t-off. BRUTAL.
Wow
My review is not really needed given the course's reputation. It is truly a golfer's course. Lesson 1: stay out of the bunkers. Lesson 2: take our loftiest club and get out of the bunker any way possible, and hopefully have a shot to move toward the green. Enjoy this course!
Great course in bad condition
Such a beautiful course in bad condition. Especially the greens, so bad.
Top Public course in the GTA for a reason!
Thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful round at Eagles Nest. Stunning course and facilities - wow
Played on the GolfNow rate otherwise this course is way too expensive for me - but you can definitely see why it costs so much (but still too much!).
if you can find a special for $100 or less it's well worth it.
Excellent experience
i alway try to play golf at Eagles Nest.
and finally i found great oppertunity play golf at Eagles Nest.
my tee off time was 4:30 and as soon as i start first tee shot, i feel this course is excellent golf course ever i play in Toronto.
golf course is extremly beautiful,
well managed,
kind staffs.
everything.
anyway, i will book another rounding at Eagles Nest golf as soon as possible.
thanks,
great course great views
My favorite course. Wouldn't change a thing. Challenging great views short drive to play a game
Nice layout, greens are young and have been stressed by last winters.
pricing too high for the shape of greens, great facilities. If greens can get a break from weather the course will be great overall.
Great course - but weddings get priority over golfers
Very nice, but challenging course. Avoid afternoons on weekends as weddings take preference over golfers who are not allowed to use restaurant facilities after a game (i.e. no post round drinks).
No marshals on the course
It was a great Sunday afternoon for golf. Course was in great condition, although there were days old ball pitch marks on the green. The group in front of us fell out of position from the first hole and we had to wait on every hole. It got so bad that there was 2-3 holes open in front of them. We asked the cart girl to notify the pro shop and the marshal. We never saw a marshal on the course. When we got through 9 holes and met up with a handler, he simply said that we measure by time per hole here and the group in front of you was only 10-15 minutes behind. We were shocked at this comment. ALWAYS KEEP UP TO THE GROUP AHEAD OF YOU!!! For what is touted as a premier course, you don't expect this kind of response.
wow!!
The greens rolled perfect, and the tee decks were nicer then some greens we played at other courses.Worth every penny.
Challenging for any level of golfer
This course has many twists and bends making it necessary to respect the terrain by downsizing to a 3 wood off many T-blocks. It will challenge the low handicap golfer and easily push a double digit handicap into the nineties. Greens are quick and many are very hard making it difficult to stop approach shots. The club house and locker room are 5 star for sure. No "Clunkers" in the parking lot as the green fees are high enough to make "beer boys golf" unwelcome. While this course is top notch and facilities second to none that are available to public golfers; I could only give 3 stars for the overall value for the money. There are simply to many great courses surrounding the GTA that offer great golf at a reasonable price. Despite this I will be back and will keep Eagles Nest as my monthly treat as opposed to my go to golf course.
flawless, intriguing - Pure Golf
very challenging but enjoyable, I only have 2 balls left after the game.
excellent course
I think it is a excellent course. Well designed, challenging, and pretty good maintained. staff are pretty friendly. the only Con is that I noticed that green has been heavily used some areas could be better.
Greens in terrible condition
Played on June 7th and the greens were in terrible condition. Very expensive for greens in that condition. I have played multiple other courses in the gta this year for a 1/4 of the price and the greens were 10 times better.
The ball would not stay on line while putting because they were so bumpy. Couldn't actually line your ball up on the green to putt without it rolling to the side.
My playing partner heard that the greens were in rough shape at the beginning of the season and he asked the starter how the greens were before teeing off. He said they were recovered and in great condition which was a complete lie.
I will not be returning to this course. I was expecting a lot and was very disappointed.
never a disappointment
As my favorite course in the GTA, it never disappoints me. Despite the mediocre score I shot, I had a great time. The course condition got a better compared to the start of the season and the greens were just fantastic (extremely fast, which caused me many strokes). The staff are always friendly (they drove to all the players to pass some towels just in case the rain would come down, and it did). The only minor thing was the driving range was a bit beat up but I can see it getting better in a couple of weeks. Overall, it's an amazing course.
Diseased course
Fairway and greens diseased horrible shape it was like playing and putting on sandy concrete. I would not recommend this course for the price ridiculous. I would not play it again after this experience very overrated
Great layout and challenging track
We played the course a little too early in the season and the course was still recovering from the severe Winter we had. As a result the fairways and greens were damaged in areas, but the greens still ran well and you could see how treacherous they could be in a few weeks. Really enjoyed the layout and the views from some holes were awesome. Hard to believe that the course is so close to subdivisions and some major roads. At points you were oblivious to being in the city. Beautiful clubhouse and some really nice touches.
Amazing course!
Great course for a great early season rate! Played on a days with wind gusts up to 50km/h. These are possibly the toughest greens in the GTA to play on a very windy day. But still had a great time and very friendly staff!
