About
Eagles Nest Golf Club sprawls across a rugged landscape of sand dunes and dense fescue that was formerly a sand and gravel quarry. The terrain is the ideal setting for a scenic, challenging round. The golf course's layout is a unique links design by Canada's top course architect, Doug Carrick, who incorporated slick, fast greens and meticulously manicured fairways. Golfers face many precarious challenges including sod wall bunkers, vast waste areas, and prevailing winds. Eagles Nest Golf Club offers panoramic views of downtown Toronto, especially on the par-3 8th hole. One of the most notably difficult holes is the par-5 17th, which features a split fairway, water, fescue, and a desert-like waste bunker.

Golfer Reviews
Great course, lives up to the hype with one exception
I’ve always wanted to play a round here, but was never able to do so because of cost. Everything lived up to the hype, except one thing I would say is the price is high for what you are getting. I’ve played courses that were as well maintained or better, similar difficulty for less than half the price.
This is a course I could see myself playing once a year, but that’s about it. Also the difficulty was high for my level of golf because of the greens. The speeds were too fast, the slopes were severe and there were so many bunkers protecting the green. I also hit many fairway bunkers. I hit more bunkers in my round than in my 7 other rounds this year combined. You have to hit it perfect to avoid them.
Marshal needed to move golfers along
Overall it's a great round; there are some holes that are a bit slow, wish marshal is on the course to move golfers along both front nine and back nine.
Nice day for golf!
The course is in good condition; it could use a course marshal in certain holes as it creates slow play. Get golfers to keep pace.
What a great course to play, and well worth the price. Only issue was pace of play. 5 hours to get through 18 and we skipped a hole to get home at a reasonable time.
There was a Marshall, we asked him to speed things up where possible, and there was no change. I was disappointed in being ignored, and you should never have to play a 5 plus hour round at any course, so that would be the only negative.
Superb day at Eagle’s Nest
Eagle’s Nest offers a challenging and satisfying day for golf. We played in the afternoon with enough of a gap that we played our own speed with no waiting and no one pushing us. There are times pace of play is slow given the challenges of the course. The pace of play along with a Hot Deal made the day a pleasure.
Eagle Nest
Great track with incredible views. One of my favourites.
One little detail
It is a great course before the prices go up, not sure I will go back for peak season prices as there are other options cheaper and just as good from a quality perspective.
However the only thing that could’ve made this day better was the weird aspect that the beverage carts on the course don’t let you pay in the moment, rather they start a tab and send your credit card to the halfway house to be closed out later. This actually caused our group not to get any food or beverage on the course. Very weird otherwise great.
After reno's
Course was friendlier after filling in a few of the many bunkers, and at this time of year the fescue is low. I've always had a good experience at Eagles Nest. Nothing different this time. Range, food, staff, conditions, course. Very enjoyable. Cost is high, but in the GTA one of the courses that doesn't seem to have cut back on maintenance or service, especially bunkers. Which I was told have all beenqorked on and have new sand. Weather was perfect so course was busy. 10 minute tee times helps spread things out. One of the most difficult courses in the GTA so the round took 4hrs 40 minutes which is normal for this place. We were a 2 ball amongst a bunch of 4 balls. Just enjoyed the sunshine. If you don't have patience here you're in trouble. Not gonna squeeze a quick 18 in at the Nest. Enjoy the range before and the food after. Pub and restaurant have tasty food. Lots of functions here so many times the restaurant isn't available. Great halfway house.
WOW - GREAT COURSE, TOUGH BUT FAIR
GREAT COURSE, NEW-ISH, LINKS STYLE, TOUGH layout, challenging. Hit it in the fairway and you’ll be fine. Greens are great, and the traps are well maintained, not my best round ever but throughly enjoyable.
Don’t walk unless you are a mountain climber :-)

Good challenge!
Tough course which can make for a slow round. Beautiful and fair though, looking forward to seeing the new 17th when it’s ready
