Eagles Nest Golf Club
About
Eagles Nest Golf Club sprawls across a rugged landscape of sand dunes and dense fescue that was formerly a sand and gravel quarry. The terrain is the ideal setting for a scenic, challenging round. The golf course's layout is a unique links design by Canada's top course architect, Doug Carrick, who incorporated slick, fast greens and meticulously manicured fairways. Golfers face many precarious challenges including sod wall bunkers, vast waste areas, and prevailing winds. Eagles Nest Golf Club offers panoramic views of downtown Toronto, especially on the par-3 8th hole. One of the most notably difficult holes is the par-5 17th, which features a split fairway, water, fescue, and a desert-like waste bunker.

Damsel In Distress
Clearly a beautiful course but not maintained well + a surprise 4th hole closure.
4th hole is ‘closed’ and they’ve turned a par 5 on the back 9 into two holes (a par 3 and par 4). I didn’t see this mentioned anywhere when booking. If you’re paying $50 for a round sure no biggie, but if you’re spending $205 a person it’s pretty frustrating to figure that out on the first tee box.
Was exited to play here but overall, pretty lacklustre. There’s so many beautiful courses in the $90-$110 range- not sure why anyone would pay an additional $100 to play here.
Paid full price while Holes under construction
4th hole is under construction but course forgets to tell you that. A par 5 was turned into 2 holes to make up 18 holes;200 yd par 3 and a short par 4.
Pace of play was slow - 5hrs. No marshal. Bunkers were not maintained and some of them were just a mess.
I used to love this course but this was a very disappointing round. I threw the scorecard away since it wasn’t even a full 18.
$144 is too much for this place
Eagles Nest
It was cold and rainy, ended up playing just 9holes. The course was in excellent shape and all staff was very friendly and professional. I can't wait to go back to play the whole 18hpoles next season!
Slowest greens I have ever played on
Do not use the practice green or your first putts will only go half way to the hole. The greens were so slow that I would have been better served using a hockey stick. taking a wrist shot to get the ball across the green.
Extremely disappointing.
One of my companions shot 95 with 2 - 5 putts and several 3 putts solely because the greens varied in speed so dramatically from one to another... slow to extremely slow.
I asked if I could get a 9 hole refund if I did not play the remaining holes but they had noone available with the authority.
Simply the best
Like the title says, you won’t find a nicer course in the area, public or semi private.
After playing 2 or three holes my group decided this would be the annual “end of golf season” course we play.
Best course in Ontario
Challenging but immaculate. Great views of Toronto skyline. A must play
Great Golf Course - Pace of Play Not So Much
I always enjoy this challenging and beautiful layout but the pace of play was unacceptably slow (5.5 hours) and there didn't appear to be anyone out trying to improve it. Waiting on every shot is beyond frustrating and shouldn't be the case when you pony up the bucks for this ride.
One BO FB the best in GTA
This is one of the very best golf course in GTA. This well designed, layout and managed. The fall colour also make such golfing a wonderful and I forgetful experience ever. All my buddies enjoyed the play today and we are sure to come back again. The staff per players to ensure such smooth okay was also amazing. It is well worth the price we paid. Indeed a priceless gem in Toronto golfing
One of the best courses I have played this year!
Everything was perfect except the drinks cart didn’t come on the field that often.. first 9 holes we were left thirsty.
