Very expensive for poor service
former home of the open has fallen a long way off. not worth the cost - private clubs are cheaper
Sad
Arrived at the course to find strict COVID protocols in place. Staff was helpful. Price was a little steep ($150+) but hopeful the course was in excellent shape due to the extended closure. Got out on the course to find burnt patches, an abundance of weeds that looked like they may have just been sprayed and lots of damage on a few of the greens. Not getting your money’s worth.
Extremely disappointed and not sure there is an acceptable excuse.
Covid Golf
Some of these low star rankings is due to the price of the green fees and lack of practice facilities open. Round took over 5hours to play, way too long, again.. Covid Golf. Players need to play the appropriate tees, the group ahead of us was playing from the Blues and when we drove up to the tee, they would be barely past the red tees. The staff needs to do something, that’s unacceptable.
Solid round
Angus glen is always a fun course to play. The fog this morning made it more challenging.
Sadly the trend of golfers not known on course etiquette is not lost here. Many divots left un-repaired in the approach areas, and un-repaired ball marks on the greens...
Great shape
The course was in very good shape. I very much enjoyed my round today. The Covid protocol put in place by the management worked out very well! From parking my car to the end of the round was seamless. Keep up the good work!
Poor conditons
greens were in poor shape, ball marks everywhere and some holes were damaged. Group ahead was at least 2 empty holes and no one moving them forward.
This is a great layout too bad about the conditions.
Driving range was closed but people were on it? Maybe they had lessons going on?
Among dark clouds
Angus Glen expensive course, challenging North course. We were surrounded by dark clouds. It looked like it is going to rain. It didnt rain. We were dry for 18 holes. Cool. Long way from parking to cart return. Enjoy your round thete
Greens are in very poor condition
Greens are in very poor condition and for a course in this price range I expect better. I have played here many times in the past and never had a problem. But this was the first time this year and was very disappointed. Every Green had problems.
Almost Scotland
I love Links golf and link's courses are hard to find in Canada. I play in Cape Breton in Inverness to get my Link's fix and go to Scotland almost every year. The north course at Angus is close to being a Link's. The bunkers look like the real thing , the fairways are almost links, the fescue is links and the fact that I played in cold and windy conditions made it feel like the Old Sod. I did not like the south course (too many carry"s for me). I absolutely loved the north course. A cheap trip to Scotland.
