you have to walk to far from where the cart lets you drive it to the green the cart restrictions are a pain
Course was a mess, litter all over beer cans and coffee cups, grass was burnt, half way house employee was brutal, never been to a course where you expect some courtesy and proper customer service and expect a certain level of service from employees and be let down so bad. I expected a lot more for the price, fell way short of the expectation and the standard unfortunately.
Spend your money elsewhere
Woof. Absolutely awful. Do not under any circumstances spend the money or time to play either angus course.
Faded glory
The baked out conditions don't warrant the price we paid. Tee boxes are a mess. Greens are inconsistent but in reasonably good shape. Pace was good but felt bad for the twosome behind us but there was no place for them to go. Staff was exemplary.
Disappointed
Given the amount it costs to play at Angus Glen I would expect pristine courses and access to all amenities. Instead we paid full price for zero access to pre-round practice facilities and the bunkers were horribly maintained (not maintained at all). I understand the restrictions relating to COVID-19, however this is just bad service as every other golf course I have played this year has an open driving range and putting green and they are on top of their maintenance to at least groom the bunkers every morning so they aren’t a complete disaster. Given we played the North course, this is a links style that is characterized by the sand element. To pay full price for that course when the sand is not being touched by maintenance is robbery. Absolutely disappointed in the experience and likely won’t return.
I enjoyed my round and the people i played with thank you
I always have a good time playing Angus North
Due to Covid-19 things are different. I've always liked one per cart. I think this speeds up pace of play considerably. The staff are always friendly. The course is in good condition although some greens have suffered from winter damage. I haven't played a lot of other courses, but I would rank this just as good as Glen Abbey.
Angus Glen North Worth the Effort
I play this course a lot, perhaps every other week each season. That said, I’ve been able to par almost all of the holes at one point in time, just never all together. Most of the holes are links-style play. There are some trees, but for the most part it’s open, natural settings and the elements are always there to contend with. There are 2 drivable par 4s, a couple of beautiful par 5s and one par 3 under 140 yds you can throw your ball at, but is hard to get your ball close to. The staff are always great, but this year with Covid, golf has moved into a new format, but still something I look forward to during the week.
What a deal
Canadian championship course for 100 dollars. Cannot be beat.
Nice course worth playing again
A very hot day but due to Covid-19, no cold bottle water provided as usual. Course is well maintained but has to follow the GPS controlled power cart which limit how close one gets to the green. It is quite far away so has to walk a little under the hot sun and slow down the pace. May change the distance limit as the current one is too far away.
Somewhat Disappointd
I have played the North course before and i was surprised at how the course was in such rough shape. The fairways were okay but the Greens were in terrible shape. I am not sure if this is because of the weather or neglect. For sure the greens had not been looked after in quite some time.
