Bunker maintenance
Bunkers were not in terrible shape but found there wasn’t much sand in a lot of them. As well there was a lot of grass growing in a couple that I noticed.
Coming from a golf course myself I can be a bit picky though lol
What a joke! $85 after 5 with a “oh btw it’s car path only” when the course was completely dry. Greens were terrible(divot city), rough hasn’t been cut since last summer, unplayable bunkers.
Stay away, save your $ and go else where, someone needs to tell these guys the open was 15 years ago there robbing ppl blind
Expensive but a lot of fun!
You better bring your big boy clubs because when the wind blows, you can add a couple clubs.
Immaculate condition with lightning fast greens.
Can’t miss course!
loved the course
other than the only water you could get being Dasani which is the worst it ranked 12 out of 12 different bottled waters, i would play there in a instant
Extremely disappointed
I’ve played here a half dozen times in the last year and today was the worst conditions I’ve ever seen. The greens were chewed up with hundreds of ball marks and clear marks. There was weeds growing out of the sand traps and many areas you couldn’t run the call because of missing grass on the fringe. I had a friend from out of town visit and was so excited to show them and they were also very disappointed. Pace of play today was also extremely slow. Took us 6hrs for 18 because we kept getting held up.
Condition much improved from previous years
First time for a few years to return because of the poor green condition. Now it has improved a lot. Green is challenging but consistent. Fairways are well maintained. Value is acceptable if you can get deals. I wouldn't play this course paying rack rates.
No bull it’s nice
I have been fortunate to play a few nice courses since taking golf on just a few years ago. Most notably the cliffs which is deserving of its number 1 in Canada and over 200 a round. Angus is on the list for top 100 in Canada and is pricey for what it is in my opinion. Though not cheap, the course is beautiful. The pace was lightening fast as it was not at all busy. For equal money however you can play other courses just as nice and have leftover coin for a few pops on the course
Great course but walk it in May.
I understand that this time of year there are soft wet spots on the fairways - so it is cart path only. On EVERY hole! It is enforced by GPS, cart alerts and cut off - also understandable. But the distance from the path to some balls was 70 yards (even in the fairway) or more! Sometimes over fescue. GPS distance to hole was therefore unavailable. Take a push cart, it is a shorter walk. Pace of play slowness was due to back and fourth to/from cart.
Cart path only. Greens slow and patches of brown spots. Spring conditions.
Best course in Canada?
Played here on my Toronto golf trip and wow. With all the recent rain I guess the course was just pure green. The greens where a little slow but just a crazy good course. The range was great and I thought it was cool being a Nike golf course.
The course itself was amazing and what a special back nine. I learned the design passed away before seeing the finished project but man what a Course he designed.
Afterwards we went to grab a steak in the clubhouse which was great and what a cool clubhouse best seen on the par 5 ninth. Overall incredible day and best course in my Canada trip.
