Great Layout
It's a tough but fair test of golf. As usual the course was in great condition. It's always a pleasure to play there ... but perhaps they can offer slightly more competitive pricing.
Fun to Play
Had 1st tee time so played very quickly. A really fun layout with every hole different. Course in good condition but a few spots on some greens but did not bother our putting. Excellent elevation changes with a few blind shots. Overall a great day and we enjoyed the course. Would certainly go back and recommend the course.
disappointed
North course is links front 9 very querky a lot of blind shots. Greens very hard to hold any wedge unless your tour pro. Back 9 a lot nicer better views and you could see approach shots much better not as nice as i had hoped for the money eagle nest way better
The Longest Round
It was cart paths only and because this is a mounded links type course, there were very long hilly walks to and from your ball. This coupled with extremely slow groups somewhere ahead of us resulted in a 6 hour round. This is not acceptable.
Enjoyable day
Thoroughly enjoyable round of golf. Great layout and picturesque holes. We played from the white tees, because it seemed liked a good yardage. By the end of the round we figured it would've been great from a set back, and that was all 4 of us, all different skill levels. the only downside to the round was that the greens and fairways had been aerated. which you need to expect playing this time of year, but there was no warning or heads up from the staff at the course, when i booked the round or when we checked in. Would've been nice to have a heads up. Everyone enjoyed the round and all said they would return and play again.
bring your game
this is a big golf course. there are a couple of long, pleasant drives between holes through the forest. I felt that the course was better than my game. the layouts of some holes are lovely, ponds and bends and elevations galore. the greens are subtle and quick. there are scary bunkers and if you go into the "rough", your ball is most likely unfindable. I found it to a real challenge and was worn out after my round, but in a way that makes me want to give it another go, when the price is right, that is. I had a lot of "hot deal" rewards to cash in, which made it a reasonably good deal. it's a beauty of a course. [the carts have tricks, like slowing down if you go past the "carts exit here" signs or go into the rough.]
Worst Field against Value for money
I palyed North course on 5th Sep. Field condition was poor. It's almost ground not grass covered. Even though it came from dried weather this summer, however Angus Glen should took care of it at least. It's not a valuable course any more at least north course under current condition.
North Course in terrible condition
We played the course yesterday and all I can say is that in its current condition it is not worth paying more than $20.00 for the round.
I was extremely disappointed in the tee blocks, fairways and greens.
Seems like have not and are not doing anything to improve the North Course.....but they are charging a pretty penny and if I had paid $125 for the round I would be demanding a refund.
Angus North Course
Well received and playable. Good use of different tee blocks for varied levels of play. Found the track a challenging but fair test. Emphasis on placement of tee shot a priority going into all approach shots.
Course was dry but due to weather conditions of late, same as all all area courses due to lack of rain. Greens were receptive and generally rolled well.
Great day and excellent experience all around.
Great layout, conditioning could be better
Had a quick round. Course was quiet.
The course condition though (for the full rate) wouldn't have been a great value. Was decent for what I paid though.
Everything was a little dry and some of the greens were damaged a little.
Overall a great day out.
Good day at Angus Glen
Booked my tee time through Golfnow and was easy and had a great day, it rained for a couple of holes but cleard up and we got the round in. Thank you.
Great course lay out
Well laid out course with several tee options which can change the course length according to your skill level. Friendly staff and good on course amenities. Will certainly play again
Great course with some very challenging greens
Played this course with some rental clubs. It had some very challenging holes and some pretty nice views.
The rentals were brand new Nike's and very decent.
Found some of the greens very difficult. Had lots undulations and lots of different reads. Holes placements were a bit difficult guess cause it was Sunday.
Would definitely play again. Hopefully with my own clubs next time.
Walk the PGA Tour
Very Nice course, however if you can afford the green fees. Premium Public golf course, however value and experience does match.
Great conditions for the times I have played the course.
Also, nice to experience the same golf holes the PGA Tour players have played.
Can't wait to play again sometime soon.
