Great course condition, Fabulous day!
Had a fun day
Excellent and challenging course
As a visitor to Ontario, I have played 4 rounds in the GTA in the past 2 weeks. Angus Glen is easily the best maintained, best layout and the most challenging. It is a club steeped in golf history, and it was a pleasure to play it.
Great Experience
-Great club house and locker room, nice range and practice area, fantastic golf course design, great variety of holes, lovely halfway house, long par-3 on the back 9 is nearly impossible to make a par, make sure you find the fairway on the 18th hole! If you are willing to spend a bit more money than an average course, you will not be disappointed by your experience at Angus Glen!
South cours
Challenging but fair. Course is in pristine condition. Staff were fabulous. I look forward to my next round at Angus Glen
Maybe too early in the season
The Good: Tee boxes, greens, fairways all in really good shape. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The Bad: Was cart path only, but didn’t know that until out on the course when the cart went to 1 mph and said cart path only. Rough was about 5 inches high and must have been about 8” and cut a few days (maybe week earlier) with a thick topping of grass clipping. This made missing the fairway especially punishing as it usually resulted in lost ball, even a few feet off the fairway. There was one temporary green, and couple of greens that were half GUR.
Used rental clubs and it was a premium set, but they were not clean, and was only a 12 piece set. Was missing two wedges. Told me that is what all their sets are. Would expect a full set with more than 2 wedges (PW & 56) in a $75 rental.
I enjoyed the round, but could not play to my potential due to the punishment inflicted anytime I found the rough.
Beautiful challenging course
This course is well designed and maintained. Holes were very challenging and the course well kept. You get what you pay for on this course. It is expensive and they deliver a good product. When the green fees are discounted give it a try.
Angus Glen South Course
Although I have played this course many times in the past years both in Championships and with friends I can’t say I would return to play this course again, not at these rates.
The greens are in terrible condition with pieces of grass missing, divots and shoe marks throughout. This wasn’t just on a particular hole, but throughout all. This was a course known for fast and presteen greens. Hope they haven’t given up on the course given the impending development that is coming.
6 hour round and no marshals, bad greens
Probably the last time I’m playing here. Had to wait 10 min on each hole and the greens were all broken and not cared for. Waste of time and money.
First Class Course
Definitely not for a Beginner. Keeping the ball in the short grass is necessary to shoot a decent score. The GPS on the cart was extremely helpful in navigating the exact yardage. Enjoyed the round.
Class a course
I always enjoy playing at angus glen. Excellent course.
Nice but for the price i expect to play on at a better pace
The first 14 wholes was great,we play the first nine whole in 2 hours wow fantastic but on the second 9 wholes at the 14 wholes we had a foursome who was very slow waiting for them every time so we played our second nine wholes in 2 hours and 30 minutes .They probably play their 18 holes in 5 hours sorry but when i play golf more then 4 hours and 20 minutes too much for me.
