Valley Course Remington Parkview
Course in good condition. 5 hour round. No marshals on course to speed up play

🏌️♂️⛳️ Remington Parkview – Where Trees Give Mulligans and the Greens Read You Back 🎯
Shot a miraculous 77 today at Remington Parkview. Yes, 77. I checked my scorecard twice. Then my soul. Both confirmed—no cheating involved, just miracles and mild tree sorcery.
Played with a legendary Korean father-son duo. The father? 76 years old. But he wasn’t playing senior golf. He was playing soul golf. Guy’s swing was smoother than a K-drama love confession. Tempo like classical music. He didn’t talk much, but when he did, it was wisdom like, “Don’t aim at the flag. Let the flag find you.” 💥💡 I still don’t know what it means, but I birdied the next hole so I believe him.
The course? Mint. Fairways were like shaved velvet. Greens were so pure, if you read the line right, it’s like the ball said, “I got you, boss,” and dove right in. No wobble. No drama. Just pure commitment.
Now, listen—I had two shots that hit trees so hard the squirrels had to file insurance claims. But instead of bouncing into the woods (like every other time in my life), they rebounded back onto the fairway. One even landed dead center. I swear the tree whispered, “We got you today.” Either Remington is haunted by the spirit of Bobby Jones, or the course finally decided it owed me a couple favors.
Highlight of the day? A two-boy teenage Zoom squad in front of us. Walked faster than a DoorDash driver on triple tip. Every time I blinked, they were already teeing off on the next hole. I tried to catch up, but my legs said, “You’re 40, not Fast & Furious.”
Remington was in perfect shape today. Honestly, it felt like a country club that accidentally left the gates open for public play. Greens rolled like tournament Sunday, views were gorgeous, and not one goose chased me this time—which counts as spiritual progress.
So here’s to Remington Parkview:
Where trees give second chances,
old men outplay your ego,
and the greens know your soul.
Until next time. 🫡
(And I will hit under 75 one day. Probably with the help of three more trees.)
Decent for the cheap price
I played this course as a hot deal. It was packed on a weekday and pace of play was slow. But the greens and fairways were in pretty good shape and the green fees are affordable. It was a pretty uninteresting course - holes were generic and didn't have many interesting features.
I Came, I Saw, I Chipped in for Eagle – Remington Upper, You Glorious Beast
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (But minus one star for possibly electrocuting my 3-wood)
Let me tell you about the day I became a golfing legend—or at least in my own group chat.
Remington Parkview (Upper Course), you beautiful, overcrowded, electrically questionable marvel of Ontario fairways. I came in just hoping not to embarrass myself, and I walked off having shot my best round of the year: a glorious 78, complete with a CHIP-IN EAGLE on a short par 4 that made me briefly question whether I was secretly adopted by Tiger Woods.
Let’s rewind.
I showed up on a sun-kissed Canadian afternoon, mentally prepared for birdies, bogeys, and maybe a philosophical argument with my driver. What I was not prepared for was how packed this place was. I’m talking “Walmart on Black Friday but with putters” kind of packed. I had hoped to sneak in and join my buddy’s tee time—like you can at most courses—but Remington looked me square in the eyes and said, “No sir, you must walk this path alone.” So be it. Lone wolf mode: activated.
Now let’s talk about the greens. Oh, those glorious, slippery, slightly mischievous greens. True-rolling but trickier than a raccoon solving a Rubik’s Cube. You think you’ve read the break, and then—boom—gravity says, “LOL, try again.” But that just made every par feel like I’d just negotiated world peace.
I have to give a shoutout to the folks I played with—such pleasant company, including one guy who accidentally hit an electric tower. Yes. A tower. Not a pole. Not a wire. A literal structure straight out of a Transformers movie. I was halfway convinced he’d opened a portal to another dimension. Thankfully, no one got electrocuted, though I’m still waiting for confirmation from ChatGPT that it’s 100% safe to swing near Ontario’s high-voltage monuments.
Despite that minor existential crisis, the vibe was immaculate. The course is scenic, challenging, and just forgiving enough to make you believe you’re better than you actually are (which is the true mark of a great course, isn’t it?).
In fact, I was so inspired I booked another round for next week. Who knows? Maybe I’ll shoot a 77. Maybe I’ll hit the tower myself and become a local folk hero. Either way, Remington, you’ve got me hooked.
Final verdict:
Great course. Greens with attitude. Bring your A-game, your sense of humor, and maybe a rubber golf glove in case of unexpected electrical encounters.
Round was very slow
I've played this course 3 times this year and each time the pace of play was terrible. The marshall drives by and says he's asked the offending group to speed up a bit, but you still end up waiting 3-4 minutes each shot.
Our group is a four-some and we all walk, whereas most other groups are carting. I just don't see how we end up waiting every shot.
In prior years, we could get around this course in under 4 hours (walking), but it's been 5 hours or more this year.
Bugs bugs bugs
Make sure you bring your bug spray!
You will need it to survive the first two holes!
Remington Upper June 2025
The pace of play was slow since marshall's do not do anything except drive around. Slow play seems to a standard. Some hole tee boxes need repair. Fees continue to increase for Seniors as well as cart rentals.
