Great looking course! Very well maintained. Just a little disappointed with how raincheck was handled?
Was very excited to play Ruby at granite ridge. Heard a lot of great things about it. And from the 3 holes we were able to play, I was very impressed.
Nice entrance, nice club house. First few holes were a nice challenge. Nice bunkers and hole placements. Beautiful. My foursome and I were loving it.
We went on Sunday/aug23 at 8:20 and there was rain in the forecast but the day started off just light rain. Well, it got heavy pretty fast. Torrential showers. We were soaked from head to toe even though we tried to keep going.
So after 3 holes we had to call it quits. Went back to the clubhouse, grabbed the rain check. The only thing I was a little disappointed with was: we only played the 3 holes and were told we’d be covered upon replay, but still would have to pay for the first 3 holes.
I figured it’d be different if we were able to get closer to 9 holes played. Thought we’d receive the rain check for all 18? Considering we weren’t able to even get a quarter of the track complete.
So that part of as a bit of a bummer.
Hoping to play again this week and redo. But wish the rain check covered the 18holes
Too many tournaments
Extremely slow play , tournament was ahead and they were extremely slow especially playing off the blue tees . Even playing best ball they took way too long to hit. I’ve Marshall Ed the pros and they were faster than these guys.
Granite Ridge
Great condition. Could use a Marshall to speed up play. Slightly overpriced.
Still a Good Track, But Overpriced
I’ve always enjoyed playing this course and it’s consistently been in good condition. The layout is enjoyable and it’s generally a good overall experience. That said, the pricing has become difficult to justify, especially for twilight rounds. While it’s a good course, the green fees feel well above what the course offers compared to other options. I’d still play it again, but the value for money just isn’t what it used to be.
Great day
Pace of play was good, coarse in good shape, beverage carts were available. WEATHER WAS FANTASTIC. Peaceful surrounding ,with the sound of a train horn in the distance added to relaxing atmosphere.
Nice fairways
The fairways were smooth. The greens are airated, so a bit more challenging. But as usual good company makes a good round. I fortunately met a great father son. Hole 13 has water on aproach. If you think about water. Ball goes in. You will be able to uae all your clubs.
always good
Great track with challenges on most holes. Good value for the money. Some of the friendliest staff in the GTA. I'll see you guys again soon.
Not the same as previous years
They tore down SO many trees. Not sure if someone new came in and changed everything, but the feeling of paying 125 bucks per person with a cart isn't worth it. Some holes it was like you were driving through a mine. Most were okay but yeah. The staff were super friendly except the Marshall with no teeth - just kidding buddy thank you
