Hornby Glen Golf Course
About
Situated at the base of Halton Hills, Hornby Glen Golf Course was built upon rolling, wide-open terrain. This affordable public course offers the quality and many of the amenities of a private club, including a clubhouse and pro shop. The tumbling landscape provides undulating fairways and expansive, rolling greens where players are likely to three-putt if not patient. Despite the golf course's hilliness, it is surprisingly easy to walk. The layout is gentle enough for beginners but it also provides an excellent way for more advanced golfers to work on their short game. The par-4 eighth is Hornby Glen Golf Course's signature hole, known for the long ravine that appears halfway down the fairway where if you get stuck, you'll be facing a blind shot to the green.

Hornby Glen in Oct
Played 9 holes Oct 12, 2025.
$53 seems a little steep for 9 holes.
Late afternoon on a weekday meant a fairly empty front nine.
Tee boxes in decent shape considering the time of year.
Fairways in very good condition.
Greens had so many recent ball marks I must have repaired a half dozen or more every green.
Reception at pro shop was dismal. Probably looking forward to the end of his shift.
Good course
Good course. Always a tee time available. Staff are great.
Could use a beverage cart and a few more benches for when the walkers are waiting at the tee box.
July 22, 2025
Several fairways were completely dry and hard. Greens were dry and tough but they were good.
Pace of play was a huge issue as round took 5hr.
Good local GTA B course
Ok local GTA B course for $100 including cart. A little over priced for the value of the course. I had it on my banned list prior to Golf North taking it over. Course conditions have improved. Some greens and tee boxes are close together. But on course service is very poor. Played on a Saturday at 10am on one of the hottest days and we didn’t see the cart server until the 16th hole. Good thing we came prepared but without prior notification one our buddies almost got heat exhaustion because of no options to buy while playing until we returned to the clubhouse at the 9th.
Course conditions great.
Course was in great shape. Greens were fast Foursome in front kept up the pace of play. . Friendly and helpful staff. Wide fairways good for high handicappers. Will play again.
2nd time playing this course
Staff was amazing, starters were very friendly, and course was in good shape. Not a lot of troublesome in the rough, but nice layout making for a decent yet relaxing challenge, including water and well kept sandtraps. Definitely coming here again.
Hornby - great learning course
This course is a great location to learn the game of golf or to enjoy a simple round. Its very flat and wide open. Lager fairways and ok greens.
The green were fast and hard on to stick approach shots due to the firmness.
Great layout and fun to play.
Overall great course!
Good:
- Hornby Glen has 5 par5s, 5 par3s. Plays long.
- Greens run quick and a few holes are very challenging to read.
- Pin-high is not the play unless you want to be putting downhill/across a slope…better to be short.
- Fairways are wide and not a lot of tree trouble.
- Fun layout with a few bunkers and not a lot of tight lies around the green.
- Carts have ball and club washer!
- Tee boxes are a lot more level than most of courses in the area, but there are still a couple that need to be fixed.
- Cart girl comes around frequently.
Bad:
- Back 9 got jammed up and we were waiting for the group ahead of us to tee off on every single hole. Marshal should’ve done something about it.
- $105 with cart is $10 too much for this course.
