Turtle Creek Golf
About
Laid across rolling countryside atop the Niagara Escarpment, Turtle Creek Golf uses the natural undulations of the landscape to its full advantage. The hilly terrain combined with the rocky outcroppings scattered throughout add to the scenic nature of the golf course. The elevation of the terrain shifts between subtle and dramatic. For the most part, the layout is wide open but there are some trees to be wary of as well as some rough areas. Water plays a prominent role on the course, coming into play on 12 of the 18 holes. Turtle Creek's idyllic charm flows from the course to the clubhouse, which incorporates a stone building from 1835.

A day of Golf
I wasn’t a fan of this course. Blind tee offs, sloped fairways, tiny greens and no 1st cut. Fairways were good if you could get your ball to hold but go 2” off you will find yourself in deep rough. Stick with a 4 wood on most of the par 4s and up as you can reach most of the green if you can get your ball to stick on the hard as rock greens.
Greens greens greens!
Not bad, but could be better maintained. Greens are rough and slow. If that’s your thing…The course is short and tight on many holes. I like the layout but you can get penalized even with a nice drive because the side slope on some holes. The thing that bothers me about any course is letting a fivesome out. And they were walking..I am sure they said the young boy was just walking with them.
Turtle Creek Golf Course
While it was a very hot day, the course offers a great deal of shade to escape the harsh sun. Pace of play was excellent for a Holiday and the course is in excellent shape. The fairways offer a challenge with rolling hills as well as dog legs turning both right and left.
The greens were in great shape and require some precision getting onto the green and not roll off.
Very friendly staff help to keep the round moving smoothly.
Good value for your golf dollars.
We’ll be back!
Cart died twice on poo filled course
The Golf cart died twice during our round. The first time it died we were able to call the club house from our cellphone and were brought a replacement cart.
This replacement cart worked for two holes before dying again. This time when we tried to call the clubhouse nobody picked up, leaving us with a dead cart on the course.
We picked up our bags and walked back to the club house fed up and not finishing our round of golf.
Things happen which is understanable but I seriously regret spending my money here.
I did not appreciate the loads of geese poop all over the back nine holes to the point where you had to dodge the poop to putt your ball in the hole.
Tee times were booked way too close together to even enjoy the parts of the course that were not coated in poo.
A constant feeling of being rushed and then waiting. Not fun at all and really made me regret spending my money on this round when the cart died again at the end and we were left stranded.
All these things on there own not a big deal like it happens but all these things together it really makes you think about how much money you just wasted.
Still sub-mediocre
I played this course when they first opened years ago and every 4 or 5 years, somehow popped back for what I know is most likely going to be an underwhelming round. It's a very wet course and a lot of the greens are directly beside tee boxes. The greens and overall condition of the course are typically less than ideal and for the price, there are many other options that far surpass this one.
Such a great course
I have played here a few times last year and had my first round of the season yesterday. The day was perfect - great weather, greens were great and the staff were awesome!
Great course
Great course. Fairways and greens were in good shape and it was a great day out. My only complaint is some of the tee blocks could of been repaired. Great value for the money! Staff was very friendly!!
Excellent atmosphere!
Everything about the staff and course is excellent! 10 out of 10 stars ⭐️ can’t wait to play again
Sandtraps/ overall ok
Very little sand , no rakes
For an extremely wet spring coarse was ok.
Great round
Very challenging course. Lots of water in play knowing you club distances is a must. Small rolling greens make a good short game a must.
Beginner's Course?
We were stuck with three 4 some ahead and all of them seemed picking up golf club for the first time. It took 3 hours for the front nine. Crazy slow. Marshal should strict with people like them. we had to skip a few holes to go past them and finally finished in 5 hour. had we stuck to our spot we would have never finished in 7 hours.
Staff were nice, but such beginners should go to a nine hole course or to the driving range. very frustrating.
