Good course
Enjoyed my round today, though it was a bit slow but understandably so because of the weather. Nice challenges in the Ruby course but can be managed.
We're glad you had an excellent time out on Granite Ridge!
We appreciate the 5-star rating! Be sure to book your next tee time with us soon.
Casual day golfing
Finally some good weather for golfing!
Course was in reasonable condition and greens putted true.
I join 2 members for my round, they were very friendly and courteous, offered tips on where to not go.
For the above average golfer - when possible leave the driver in the bag and aim for the 150 yard stick
very good condition. pace of play good. tricky greens. The course is not long, but well laid out,
I WILL never ever visit again!
One bad apple can and does ruin it for everyone else. I have been embarrassed while a paying customer for reasons that this bad apple could not explain nor would want to.
I have played over 150 rounds at this golf course in the last 4 yrs. I have purchased a lunch and drinks for a good chunk of them and have driven from downtown Toronto through traffic/construction for a good portion of that. Obviously I enjoyed the course. But instead of fighting or arguing or even becoming a keyboard warrior is rather bow out and just say that I will never visit and invest another dollar at granite ridge.
When you have one person behave like they can make the rules and worse change then on a moments whim, then that can be extremely confusing considering the rule had been passed down directly from one of the owners.
On the day where I had purchased a set of clubs for my wife and brought both my children to enjoy a father's day golf round and meal... I got to experience a low level employee create and modify the course rules in order to embarrass a patron?
What really happened I will hold on to for now... that being said there is definite management issues at the course hence why the low level employees will behave like that. Trickle down effect. Management was asked to call me if they wanted to know what had transpired. I'm yet to hear word from granite ridge.
I am just one customer... thousands of dollars were spent there... but will be spent elsewhere going forward.
Lesson learnt.
Can you elaborate? lol
Unfortunate that tee times were almost one hour behind because of a earlier event running late .Staff made us aware of this on arrival and did there best to rectify the situation .Course conditions were getting better after the heavy rains we have had .Will play again .
nice course for average golfer
front 9 was slow as we were following a tournament , but back 9 was wide open to make up for it .
Great day
Great fun course to play very well groomed, it was a busy day and pace was slow.
Slow and Hard
Course pace was terrible, no course marshals. Greens were as hard as concrete despite weeks and weeks of rain. Despite hitting the green, we didn’t have to repair a ball mark on any green.
Dissapointed
Horrible pace of play, we were riding twosome and 4 more twosomes walking ahead of us! Not sure why would anyone let that happen, it was so slow we stopped after 9 holes took almost 3 hours.
Marshal came arround once and His comment was “what do you expect when there are twosome after twosome”......
Really and who’s fault is that exactly?
Thanks but no thanks i wont be back!
Grumpy staff
Pace of play very slow. 2 groups of Old ladies played in front of us. Totally oblivious that they held us up for 20 minutes at each hole, no one in front of them. Called clubhouse who sent out the starter who came over and yelled at us and told us to stop complaining, there was nothing he could do. Totally rude. Had to quit after 15 holes after 4.5 hours of slow play. Very wet and sloppy conditions
Terrible condition, worse customer service
The course was swamped. Not their fault. It's spring. My issue is with customer service. Bobby the starter needs to find a job in which he doesn't work with people. After playing slow on the front and coming up to the 10th tee where there were 5, FIVE, groups on the hole, (2 on hole, 3 waiting) I called the pro shop for marshall assistance. Bobby drove out from shop, looked, drove back in. We were on that box for 20 minutes so I called again. This time Bobby came out red faced and obviously mad about having to move and was asking every group "Who called again?!!!!!" I told him I did and he said I should go home offering a 9 hole rain check as there were women out in front of this cluster and he "wasn't going to do that to them". Regardless of the gender or age of players, if there is an obvious problem, it should be managed respectfully. Bobby's solution was to send me home after acting like he wanted to fight somebody. He really doesn't need to be in contact with paying customers.
Good day of golf
Course was in decent condition considering all the rain and cool temperatures. The first cut of rough needs to be trimmed. Lost a couple of balls that should have been easily found and really difficult to get any distance chopping it out. Grass trimmings in the fairways were annoying. But weather was fantastic so overall a good day.
The course we went to was too crowded. It seemed as if they overbooked. My wife and I had to tee off an hour after our scheduled start time.
I appreciate your review. I would love the opportunity to discuss this with you further to find out what occurred and ensure it doesn’t happen again. Please send me an email at cseeler@golfgranite.com if you have a moment to chat. Hope we can provide a better experience next time!
carr path only
cart path only until it dries out, pace of play probably slow because of that reason. Marshall’s didn’t appear to be assisting with play on the back 9. Long grass in the rough, lost too many balls because of this.
We're glad you enjoyed your round with us despite the weather! We hope to have you back again soon.
