Turtle Creek Golf

About
Laid across rolling countryside atop the Niagara Escarpment, Turtle Creek Golf uses the natural undulations of the landscape to its full advantage. The hilly terrain combined with the rocky outcroppings scattered throughout add to the scenic nature of the golf course. The elevation of the terrain shifts between subtle and dramatic. For the most part, the layout is wide open but there are some trees to be wary of as well as some rough areas. Water plays a prominent role on the course, coming into play on 12 of the 18 holes. Turtle Creek's idyllic charm flows from the course to the clubhouse, which incorporates a stone building from 1835.

Great dwal for the money
Nice, challenging course. Very adulating greens that can easily turn a birdie putt to a bogey.
Fun-competitive Course
Good course for beginners and intermediate players. Layouts offer for both.
Good Value
Course was in okay condition based on very early in the season. Some of the tee boxes were on the rough side. Most of the greens were in decent shape. Bunkers could use some sand. Staff was extremely friendly to deal with. From the pro shop check in , to the cart girl , to the Marshall. For $70 including cart , was good value.
Really bad
The greens are rock hard. If you hit them your ball rolls off. Pin locations were very dumb today as well on middle
Of hills. Ground is hard. They haven’t watered the grounds in weeks by look of it. I wouldn’t ever play here again it wasn’t great. Also very slow took 6 hours to play. Two groups always waiting at holes. No one policing the pace at all.
great course for price point
course was great for the price point, couple things were lacking - pace of play was about 15-20 a hole, had to wait 5 - 7 minutes at every hole and at one point there were 3 + us at tee box on par 5.
When booking on golf now it did not notify that course was under construction and we were not able to play 5 holes, we were allowed to play 5 holes over again.
Good round
Sloped greens, water hazards, sand bunkers, and dog legs make this course challenging and fun to play.
Turtle Review
I've played this a few times now and like the layout. Course condition is OK considering its the start of the season though the tee boxes need attention. Its an older course with smaller greens which test your accuracy and short game.
All the staff are very friendly and helpful which i always appreciate.
Fun course
Has some very unique holes. Greens wete in great shape!
Great spot for the location
I play a few rounds at Turtle Creek each year. Being completely honest, the staff + dogs/sausages are a huge reason my group makes the trip from mississauga. You get what you pay for in terms of greens, conditions, etc. Never had a poor experience here - would highly recommend to any amateur or intermediate golfer.
