Turtle Creek Golf

About
Laid across rolling countryside atop the Niagara Escarpment, Turtle Creek Golf uses the natural undulations of the landscape to its full advantage. The hilly terrain combined with the rocky outcroppings scattered throughout add to the scenic nature of the golf course. The elevation of the terrain shifts between subtle and dramatic. For the most part, the layout is wide open but there are some trees to be wary of as well as some rough areas. Water plays a prominent role on the course, coming into play on 12 of the 18 holes. Turtle Creek's idyllic charm flows from the course to the clubhouse, which incorporates a stone building from 1835.

Worth playing and sneaky difficult
Don't let the <6K yards scorecard fool you. The fairways are tight, greens are small and a lot of slope; with steep run offs.
The back nine starts off tough. 10, 11, 13 have forced carries to small landing areas that demands attention, for even the mid-length player.
This course is all about position and accuracy. If you think you are going to shoot your PB of the year cause you are playing a short course, you will leave with your ego in your pocket bruised and battered.
Architect did a good job protecting the course and grounds crew kept the course in good condition. (only caveat, was the bunkers needed some attention)
Nice course
Good course and a fun day out. Some holes are good and some are blind if you haven't played here before. Some small greens with lots of tricky slopes. You don't get to use your driver much and need to play a bit conservative..
People don't repair the divots here like they should and some tee blocks could use more grass but all in all a good course. The menu could be better unless you want a $8 hot dog.. Lots of water so if your not good bring lots of balls. It was a slow day with a slow group ahead of us all day.
Not worth the drive
There are so many courses that going the distance for this one was not worth the effort. Very confusing holes with numerous doglegs and blind tee shots made many shots guesswork. Poor marshalling made the pace of play a challenge as well.
first tee anarchy
the lack of organization and pace of paly was terrible. no starter there for the first tee times of the morning to direct you to the first tee or control the groups teeing off. was a free for all at the first tee. they really need to get there stuff together it was absolute anarchy. not worth the money
Good Value
Nice course, with a good price. Would recommend it to anyone, looking for value.
Green etiquette
Greens were full of ball marks. Apparently golfers do t know to fix ball marks or rake the bunkers.
Expensive
The course is very well maintained .
Short but challenging , small difficult greens are fine
A bit expensive for what it is
Weird layout
The course is tough and not a lot of chances to bring out your driver. The greens are small and they don’t hold the ball on approach with a lofted wedge.
Really enjoyed the course. I liked the aspect of blind holes as the terrain is up and down. Keep your shot straight and see what happens.
