About
Located in Minett along the shores of Lake Rosseau, The Rock is a target-style course designed by Nick Faldo. The golf course is laid out over a scenic terrain of rolling hills, granite rock outcroppings, and hardwood trees. Faldo incorporated narrow, tree-lined fairways and sloping greens into the design to create a formidable test for players of all skill levels. At 6,545 yards from the back tees, it may not be particularly long but it is a demanding golf course that requires precision off the tees as well as greenside. The par-4 13th is a particularly challenging hole that requires a long tee shot that has to be played to the right to compensate for the severely sloping fairway that leans to the left and the uphill green is to the right past a large granite formation.

Target golf at its best
Great course that demands accuracy. Read the yardage book and bring a few extra golf balls. Don’t flatter yourself by playing from the back tees if you have a generous handicap. We will definitely be back for another round
Great
Ordered a hotdog and cost was $9.00 way to expensive. Should be around $5.00. I’m not at a BlueJay, and then it would still be cheaper
Course layout is challenging . Positioning of tee shots are critical. Fun to play with various elevation changes.
Incredible experience @ the rock
Will be back many times, $90+HST is quite a deal to play such a spectacular course.
Disorganized from arrival
Arrived 45 minutes early for our 1148am tee time only to be told there was a roughly 2 hour delay due to frost in the morning. There were exactly 4 people waiting to tee off. The starter and other some other minion refused to let people tee off even when it was obvious the early tee times had decided not to show up. (Those were the members of course) .
After finally getting started roughly an hour late thanks to a new arriving staff member who had some common sense ... the course is terrible. Sure the layout has some moments but it is way too tricked up, too many blind spots. As a vacationing golfer, looking for an enjoyable round, go anywhere else. This place requires multiple visits to figure out all the idiotic nuances.
