BraeBen Golf Course - Championship

First time playing here and the course has some Scottish characteristics. Not many tress and with lots of long grass and shrubs which easily buried any balls going into them. Not a long course but has many winding fairways and some up and down hills. Hole direction is not good particularly for hole #15 and some players got lost and play the wrong hole. We have to alert them to go back to play the correct hole. Staff are very friendly and polite as well as the Marshall. Fairways and greens are well maintained and the view of the city is good except that there are plenty of air planes flying overhead and noisy but is tolerable. Pace of play is average as plenty of seniors and beginners are playing the course. Not a long course and almost no hazards to deal with so not particularly challenging.

Greens were hard as a rock couldn't stop the ball on them and when putting the ball bounce up and down making it impossible to play. Played many times always have been happy with all conditions not this year. Will play again to see if it improves if not won't play again this year.

Unbelievably slow. No marshals could be found except sitting on the tenth tee.

I know it's a city run course, but goodness why are the greens so rough and the fairways so divoted?

This course is a centrepiece in Mississauga, and should be upkept as such.

We had a good round. Enjoy the view of city. This court is located at a high land. A very busy course , a little slow but I still give 4 stars

This course is very challenging. It is designed to punish mistakes and has extremely thick, high unmowed areas lining almost every fairway and surrounding most greens. Fairways are undulating and populated with bunkers on most holes, with elevation changes to greens. This course requires you to play many blind shots and is home to thousands of lost balls each week. It is well kept and has a beautiful sunset view in the evenings. Play at your own risk.

This course might be a new local favorite. My buddy told me after we played that it used to be a landfill and I was surprised! A very cool idea that they changed it from a dump to this great course. I'm impressed.

Tough to get a full gauge on this course. Quite a slow pace of play (almost 5 hours) and the greens were extremely bumpy. Tough to pay $90 for that. Really cool layout though and so if it was in great shape, it’d make all the difference. Can’t figure out why city owned courses are so expensive.

Looks like the greens aren’t back yet. Quite bad compared to other courses in the area. Worst of the season by far. Rest of the course was in food shape.

One of the best days for golf so far this year - perfect weather. Unfortunately, the golf course was showing some significant "winter kill" on many of its greens which made putting a real challenge. Pace of play was slower than should be - we waited on all but 3 tee boxes before we could safely hit. I'll go back later in the summer / early fall and hopefully the greens will have come in by then.

Very nice course and links style layout. Very nice staff and great location if you're in Toronto. Greens were not good at all. Very bumpy and sandy spots. Couple of blind holes recommend to play with someone who's played it.

Three hours just to play the first nine nough said!
