Golfer Reviews
Enjoyed the day
The location appeals to me as it is about 15 minutes from my home, but also it is a challenging links style layout and the condition of the course is very good.
A bright sunny day without too much wind. We were paired up with a couple of good guys and we had some fun. I didn't play too bad or lose too many balls. Very enjoyable.
enjoyable round at 6pm
Decided to get in a round after work - booked for 6pm but was able to tee off at 5:50pm. Front nine was wide open once the twosome let me pass on hole #3. It was fairly windy and that usually makes for a challenging round on this links style golf course. There are no trees to so you have to compensate for it. Fairways were in decent condition, tee boxes were also in decent shape (I played from the Blue tees on the front and the Black tees on the back nine). The greens were a bit on the slow side and in need of mowing. It is unfortunate that may golfers do not repair their ball marks on the greens. There were many pock marks and unrepaired ball marks left for the "next person" to repair. Cart person came around a couple times and announced when it was her last round so you could purchase your beer or water - it was still around 32C. The early golfers are usually more serious about their game and follow proper etiquette, but you take your chances when you play later in the day, where you can encounter the "hackers" and those new to the game and still not aware of the proper rules and etiquette. All in all, I was still able to get 18 holes completed (the threesome ahead of me quit on hole 15). A decent course that offers challenges from various tees and depending on the wind conditions. Recommended.
Stick to a Game Plan
Despite being a shorter yardage course Braeben is a challenge for even the more experienced golfers. Shot making is a premium given its narrow fairways, well-placed bunkers, undulating greens, links-style topography, and of course an ever-present wind. Well planned shots (along with execution) will lend itself well to lower scoring. However, a "grip and rip" mindset will most likely result in a ballooned score. Overall, if you are patient, realistic, and committed to a game plan you can have a very enjoyable round of golf at Braeben.
We played on 1 SEP 2017(Friday), pace was very slow. Worst is Marshall "Jorge" asked golfer behind us to hit driver while we are still at fairway. Ball land 8 yeards in front of us. Jorge said that's only way to speed up the game!!!
NO NEVER PLAY IN THIS COURSE AGAIN!
Moderate course in the city
Another good year for Braeben, course is in good shape, friendly pro shop but pace of play is a bit slow. Overall is good.
Great views and a lot of hills
The day I played this course it was EXTREMELY windy. The courses lay out is challenging yet fun. The course is extremely hilly but you definitely get the chance to use every club in the bag. The greens were not in great condition but they are all challenging with a lot of break in every putt depending on the pin location. The course has some great views of the city as well. It definitely puts a reward for hitting the ball in the fairway as if you stray away the rough is extremely long and near impossible to get out of. Overall the course was fun yet frustrating (which in golf often means fun lol), I will definitely return on a less windy day to try it out again! Hit em straight and enjoy!

Narrow fairways /slow play
I like this course. It has narrow fairways and tight greens. Pace of play was horrible given a Saturday afternoon tee time, so I suggest playing early.
Great service!
Due to unforeseen events we had to cancel our original tee time. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, allowing us to come out later once the issues were resolved. Great course! Great pro shop! We will be back again.

Great on a hot day
Links style .. No trees , so very very windy . Great on a hot humid day but could be challenging on a colder day
It's just okay
Second time playing the course. First was an end of season round in cold rainy weather. This time it was beautiful.
Traps were inconsistent and a few could do with another inch of sand.
My playing partner and I questioned how the layout would work under busy conditions. Never a good idea to have a par 3 on the second hole. Even worse when there is trouble down one side.
It's not a bad course, just not one that has any remarkable holes, or a course that has me itching to return.
Fun Round on a Windy Day
Course is in good shape. Lots of challenges with the wind blowing. Very nice views of surrounding city.
Unique course
This is one of its kind course. High elevation so wind adds to the challenge. Kind of challenging with fairways being tight. I like this course. Plus a great view to the Mississauga skyline.
Always windy, but fair
This course provides various challenges throughout your round. It is almost always windy, so club selection and ball flight can play significant roles. Make sure you are in or near the fairway off the tee or you will scramble to make double most holes. You don't need driver off a lot of the tees, 150 yards in from the fairway will serve you well.
Take advantage of the short par 5's!
Greens are in very rough shape
Overall very poor conditions for late spring. Greens are a joke - divot marks everywhere, very bumpy and still has holes from last years aeration. Played 5 others courses this year and all of them in much better condition. I would not recommend this place.
Great course...
Great course with friendly staff. Always a challenging short course within the city.
Great condition early in season
Had a great round at Braeben, fairways and greens in great condition. Apparently the course can be quite windy, but we lucked out I guess, and it wasn't too bad. The course features a lot of narrow fairways, so if you have trouble keeping it relatively straight, it could be a long round of searching in the "fescue".
Bang for your buck
Course was in typical early season shape not the courses fault, very forgiving in a lot of areas not overly difficult. I don't know if it was just because I was in on a cold Monday afternoon or not but there was no bar service at all or food? First time in the 16 years I've golfed that early in the day and there was no drinks or food available kinda bush league if you ask me. Golf was good tho
This course was a excellent challenge
If you like challenges this place is excellent and well maintained grate location and the view was amazing.
Easy in calm conditions; a beast in the wind
The day that I played, winds were blowing at 50 km/h with gusts up to 80 km/h. While this course is pretty easy in calm conditions, in these windy conditions it became incredibly challenging. There is nothing wrong with that, golf is meant to be challenging...I actually enjoy this course more in challenging conditions, but on this day it was extreme!
Facilities closed
The course is always fun and was in pretty good condition. However, we were disappointed that they charged us full rate ($75) only then to find out that the driving range was closed, the bar was closed, no food was available and only a few soft drinks available at the clubhouse. Not a competitive rate with zero facilities.
