Interesting layout
Challenging course that makes think about your game as opposed to stepping up and hammering away. Pace was a little slow and the marshals seemed more interested in looking for balls instead of keeping the groups moving. Would recommend it to friends.
good value for money
good course and great staff. a must play if you're in the area and looking for a challenging links course.
Always love playing this course - great views.
Excellent course with great views and challenging holes. Always a pleasure to play. Took a friend to the course and we had a great day.
Walking This Course Can Be Difficult
Unless your conditioning is fairly good, I would recommend riding a cart on this course. Course was in good condition, and has a substantial number of hills. Easy to bounce on the wrong side of a hill, and can cost you a couple strokes. Sand traps could have been raked in the morning. Course can also get pretty windy, which makes for more of a challenge. Price included range balls, but driving range prohibited the use of a driver. Irons only on the range.
GReat Links Course
This course is in great shape.. Best to play the back tees to get a full length course experience..
Great redesign of old landfill site to provide a good golf course!
The rolling hills, of this open links style course, and open 360 degree views of surrounding areas provide a nice golf experience. Don't let openness fool you as this course requires accurate course management to avoid tall grass in rough.
Greens were very receptive. I would recommend this course to play.
Great Course
Its hard to believe that this location used to be the city dump. The course is well maintained and has a great view of the city around it. It is a great example of a links style course. I would recommend playing from the tips if you hit your drive 240+.
Not easy but funny
This course absolutely looks hard due to large bush and narrow fairway but pretty funny.
A unique course with a great view of the city of Mississauga.
A course that really tests your abiility to hit straight shots. The rough is tough to play out of. The greens are true and fast.
Fun Course but slow pace and dangerous.
Fun course to play with great views. Nice conditions with great bunkers and thick rough around the greens. Pace of play was slow and course is dangerous with tee boxes close to greens and beginner golfers. Playing partner was hit once. Lots on un-repaired divots on the greens.
True links course
Very good golf, in the heart of missassauga ontario.
Course very well maintained.
A really enjoyable links course which doesn't disappoint.
Best hamburgers in town.
Keep it in the fairways and you'll have a great day.
Wind is the courses defense
Greens were recently airated. Made putting a lot less fun. Otherwise the fairways were great and the high grass was deadly. Have to hit it straight there (wind is a big factor in such an exposed course) Enjoyed the great weather,
Great City Course
I usually play here a few times a year and I have never been disappointed. Booking through GolfNow usually gets a great rate (Sometimes as low as $25 with cart) and the course is in great shape. For a city run course I am always impressed with the quality of the course (fairways, greens, rough and fescue!) as is always properly cut, trimmed and rolled. The traps have good quality sand as well, better quality than some private clubs I've played!
Btw, it also has some of the best views of the area around (Lake Ontario, Mississauga, Toronto etc.) from it's high elevation. But be warned the higher you go the windier it becomes!
Enjoy!
The course is in great shape
This is a fair test of your game with some tight fairways. Not overly long. Requires some shot making but built for the average golfer. The greens keeping staff have done an excellent job with this facility.
Great municipal course
Had two great rounds here. Very blowy second time do certainly felt like a links course. Not too long (which is a good thing) and some fantastic short par-4s and par-3s particularly. In very good condition too.
Great undulation of fairways and greens, unforgiving to poor driver play
The pace slowed up significantly on the back 9 mostly due to groups attempting to reach par 5's in two shots. The feskew is very unforgiving and well placed drives are necessary on several holes. Our scores were 78, 86 and 90 respectively and are a fair representation of skill level +/- 2 strokes which can be attributed to the feskew.
Overall this is a great course to play in an unbeatable location.
Good value and course condition for money! GPS is included!
This is my go to course in the GTA. It is centrally located and is always in consistent, good shape. It can be challenging if the wind picks up. On a calm day, it requires precise and confident shot making.
All around a good time!
Club house amenities are rather weak, actually non existent.
Course was in good shape except for the greens that are in very poor shape.
"Target-links-style" on top of Mississauga
Want a good test, especially if the winds are up? Look no further than Braeben. Yes, it is reclaimed land, but what the designers did here is a masterpiece - no real hokey holes, just a layout that will thrill and disappoint at the same time. So bring an extra sleeve or two! This is excellent value on top of Mississauga.
