Concrete fairways and extremely slow pace
We teed off just after 3pm and it took us over 3 hours to play the front nine. It was a 5 to 15 minute wait on every hole. They rushed way to many golfers out onto the course, and its packed all the way through and extremely slow.
Many years ago when I would play Dundee they would have lush fairways, well kept bunkers, nice greens and you could play in 4 hours. Now it's guaranteed over 5 hours to play and I don't think the fairways were watered once all year, other than when it rained. I don't think I'll be visiting this course again anytime soon.
Gorgeous course, needs maintenance.
Unfortunately, like a lot of golfnorth courses, they bought a great course and ruined it with lack of maintenance. Fairways are rock hard and bald in places. Greens are too hard to take an approach shot, you have to bounce shots in from 30 yards out and trust that god is on your side with friendly bounces. Even a 56 degree wedge won’t stop on the green.
Putter needs to be working
Course in good condition. Greens are definitely the decisive feature of the course.
Dry and hard AF !
The course is dried out/burnt.
T boxes are mostly a disaster.
I've played here dozens of times over 35 years and this was perhaps the worst I've ever seen it.
The staff were pleasant. Charged $30 for cart. i think full rate. As an elderly person not haveing a choice to walk I think a discount at this time would have been welcomed. The course seemed to be well maintained. The greens were very slow.
Poor course
The greens weren't cut, slow as molasses, Tee block on number 5 was just dirt, the area around the green on #7 was crap, you can't play off it. The fairways were dry, I had 5 shots wasted because the ground was so hard. #16 green is an abombination and should be replaced. you can't putt on that angle. Dead trees everywhere. Really poor condition, not taken care of. Don't waste your money or time on this farmland.
new dundee is rough
Greens were in fair condition but slow. Tee blocks were extremely rough, dirt with very little grass. Fairways were rough as well.
I will not be back
Attempted to play twice in the last two weeks. First round it took an hour and a half to play three holes. While standing on the third tee there was a group of 7 on the green and on the 16th tee there was a group of 8 playing together. Absolutely no standards and no one scheduling/managing the tee times. I was able to get a rain check for this round as that was obviously ridiculous.
Today I went to redeem the rain check which was for a full 18 holes. For some reason they charged me $0.66 even though their prices hadn’t changed. Obviously the money isn’t a big deal but a rain check is a rain check and getting charged anything is ridiculous. The pace of play was better this time but we were finishing up the 16th hole when the lady from the pro shop came out screaming at us that we had to come back as they cut it off at 830, even though this was not communicated when we booked the time. We had two holes left and there was definitely enough time to play them but we were forced to leave. Needless to say I won’t be back and it is a shame because the course is nice but no one is managing it and the customer service is horrendous.
Horrible experience
This course is one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a Golfnorth property. Due to social distancing I had to pay an extra fee for a golf cart compared to the other two guys that drove together. The course itself was like playing in a farm field. For the price we paid they should be able to afford water. The Marshel said they put through 300 players at day at 75 dollar per player you would think they could afford the upkeep or reduce the price so people don’t feel robbed
Book Elsewhere
Round took almost 5 hrs to play. Could have been quicker if marshall hurried along groups ahead of us (by the 10th hole there were 2 empty holes up ahead) but did not see marshall until we were on #14.. Informed club manager but he feels this time is acceptable on a Friday. Course is in rough shape. Much worse than other comparable priced courses I play. Tee blocks have more divots than grass and many times in the fairways there was no grass to be seen. Used to be one of the preferred courses in the area but now one of the worst. Recommed to book elsewhere.
Very dry
Very nice course, just needs to be watered more. Tee blocks were very best up and extremely hard soil. Almost needed a hammer to put your tee in. High cut trees which helps.
