Beechwood Golf & Social House

About
Beechwood Golf & Social House sprawls across gently rolling hills dotted with natural water features and trees, providing a terrain that is ideal for golf. The championship layout features fast, undulating greens and carefully contoured fairways. Ponds come into play throughout along with meandering creeks and streams. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers in play. Beechwood Golf & Social House's finishing hole is notable for both the scenery and challenges it offers. To begin the hole you need a precise drive between out-of-bounds on the left and a creek to the right that cuts into a landing area, and then you must make a skillful second shot to a triple-tiered green that slopes towards the creek's edge.

Beechwood round
The Pros: my group of 3 arrived early and teed. Off earlier than our tee time. Pace of play was fantastic, no one in front, no one behind pushing. Greens were pretty decent, given recent weather. All staff we encountered were awesome and , very friendly.
The cons: lots of areas “under repair” no sand in bunkers and new sod in bunkers being removed, that have not been tended. Numerous “be patient” signs throughout the. course, makes course look below average.
All in all, we enjoyed our day. Our friend hit an ace on back nine, so well celebrated
Nice course but still under renovation
many sand traps not usable and part of the course under construction
no cart service on front 9 at 11 am tee off on a Saturday
service on back 9 only had drinks and chips/bars/peanuts
Decent Course
-Needs more directional signage in between holes as some are nowhere near each other.
- Course was in decent condition
- good pace of play
- would come back again, our foursome enjoyed it!
Bunker
All bunkers are under construction, looks like additional drainage is being added. Some cart paths are also under construction. Should be great later in the summer
Absolute rip off
The course plus cheap tricks when offering special deals. They advertise a lower price and when you go to book it they change it to a higher price. The course is not worth what they are charging, but definitely worth the deal prices, that is if you can actually get a deal.
Extremely wet, extremely muddy
Course needs to dry out was a tough round trying to walk when the cart paths are all filled with water and all the grass surrounding them is a muck field
Family Celebration of Life event
On Sunday April 21st, our family held a celebration of life for my wife's brother. Rob the owner of Beechwood Golf and Social, generously supplied his facility and staff to hold our family event. The staff were extremely helpful and gracious. We were given all the attention we required with absolutely no complaints. The tables and chairs were all arranged to suit our needs and the room was beautiful. There was no questions asked if
we needed anything. Considering the sensitivity of the event , it was a wonderfully organized celebration.
Thank you Rob and your wonderful staff for helping make this a most memorable event.
For the record , anyone that needs the facility, will be more than satisfied.
Good Spring Golf
Course seems to be drying out nicely. Looks like they are making quite a few improvements. Play here a couple times a year. Nothing really bad to say considering the time of year. I enjoyed my round! They only sell beer in bottles which I find strange.
Needs to dry out.
Muddy, really wet course and poor conditions for walking. Greens are in pretty decent shape, although a few look like they are under construction and one had a big divot as if someone played their tee ball for the next hole off of it. Cart/walking paths an absolute mess, bring waterproof shoes and a change of socks.
Cheap spring golf
Like most courses you get what you pay for, spring golf not much open yet, this course could be nice with some care put into it.
Great early spring golf
Drove 5 hours from Northern Ontario to get some spring golf in (still snowy at home). Good conditions all things considered. Walking only but it was not gruelling. Staff was super friendly.
Golfnow mistake
The tee time was booked with cart included, as advertised by Golfnow. The course would not let carts out due to wet conditions.
Cart coupon?
This course is in decline
Course in dreadful condition. Bridges over creeks were temporary and very unsafe. Many areas just large mud bowls. Bunkers empty. Overall dirty unkept feeling. Stay away.

Hi Greg, i wanted to address your points.
1) we apologize for the muddy conditions in March. Not sure how we can impove that given the time of year.
2) you did not pay for a cart, were not charged for one. We reviewed your booking and it did not include it.
3) we are renovating our bunkers like many courses do in the off season. Again it's March.
4) we charge a green fee rate proportional to this time of year. Sorry if you expected June conditions in March, which given your comments suggests that.
5) our bridges are not temporary nor are they unsafe.
6) sorry if our course was more challenging then you expected and had a bad round.
Hi Ryan,
Can confirm this was a GolfNow issue. Course had instructed no carts be advertised this time of year, but it was accidently activated on a few tee times.
We've sent you a $20 promo code to your email just now for the bad experience. Also, in the future call into the support line at 1.844.800.4653 and let them know the situation and they can properly credit you for the mistake.
